Kaman and Ernesto were probably the best low kick fighters of their time it’s crazy they’ve shared a ring with each other 2 times, both well respected legends of their era.

Rob Kaman is probably THE most underrated and yet tremendous Champion EVER !!! He's my idol when it comes to fighting sports !!!

I don`t think he is underrated. Kickboxing by itself is an underrated sport due to the popularity of MMA. But most kickboxing fans considered Kaman to be the greatest striker in history.

I was at this fight in Amsterdam Jaap Eden hal. Row 2 seats, it was bloody amazing and the atmosphere was superb.

Conor needs to hire one for leg kicks.

When it comes to kickboxing, this fight is a masterpiece. What a display of skill, endurance and strenght. It could go either way, I guess thats kind of obvious. But Kaman clinch and footwork gave him a super advantage when he was in trouble. He was a true genious, and I am a big fan of Hoost.

I guess I saw it the other way with Hoost landing good knees in the clinch while Rob did throw him down three times I believe it was. Rob had harder kicks but it seemed his head was also getting snapped back with regularity. Either way it was a great fight with an obvious finish.

I was there. Jaap Ede Hal in Amsterdam. Everybody thought Ernesto was going to win. Not so. Kaman and Dekkers paved the way for all that came after them.

Rob's resilience in this match was otherworldly. I count two times where Hoost tried to connect with kicks only for Rob to just tank right through him and Hoost was the one thrown off balance. 1:39 if you pay close attention you'll hear that sickening slap of Hoost's shin knocking against Rob's guard and the block itself was enough. Hoost started falling before Rob even lashed back with his own kick. I know Rob was hurting but somehow he just got through it.

A great fight by two absolute legends.

Wow. Ernesto was on sea legs for a while after. No controversy with that stoppage.

Kaman's positioning is almost super human. Even when he gets clipped, and seriously gets clipped, he manages to position in such a way to deflect the attack and re-take initiative almost instantly. Also his stamina is insane but this can also be said for Hoost. His superior positioning granted Kaman the knock out. Hoost landed some knees and an uppercut that by all accounts should have turned off the lights.

Rob Kaman,had his training tapes... awesome fighter,, never never never give up.

@@noahcarver6072 Facts. Hoost had to rely more on his boxing and he landed some really dangerous looking shots near the end. 13:15 But somehow Rob just kept fighting.

Hoost had an incredible chin? He got brutally sparked several times by Kaman, Cikatic, Filho, Le Banner and Sapp

I was fortunate to be there. Rob Kaman was already a legend. One of the greatest fighters of all time. Hoost became a legend later on. Both masters of "the Dutch school".

I dont think anyone considers fighting ambidextrously to be a small thing at all there's a reason people try to avoid southpaws especially early in there careers

Quoi dire .. Fait partie des meilleur combat de l histoire,a retenir. Quand hoost le travaillé technique au corps,kaman était en difficulté et a l inverse quand kaman travaillé à mi-distance hoost derouillé. De l'intensité en permanence pas de déchet tout les coup sont importants .. Vraiment deux légende et là ils le prouve ✌️

Fascinating to see two such legendary low-kickers go at it in their prime. Kaman impressively neutralized Hoost's primary weapon and started timing his punches to counter, even though it seemed he was a bit more gassed. Hoost is one of my favorite fighters and I'm surprised to see his game get picked apart. This is like Genius fight-IQ versus Einstein.

Me Me They are both from Holland. The black guy is called Ernesto Hoost and he is from Suriname’s decent. It’s a South American country that used to be part of the Dutch Empire.

Amazing how Hoost was a totally different and better fighter the second time around. Non-stop and tough fight till the very end!
