i need to take out my frustration on river of fire. dear god. protagonist i already forgot the name of visits starclan and meets cinderpelt, who basically just tells them "i loved firestar all along but yknow, i was a medicine cat" which, shameless fanservice aside, reduced her entire character to pay lip service to something that was never brought up in the first arc.

It is never directly stated but it is implied within the the series itself that Cinderpaw/heart liked Fireheart. There's a scene (I can't remember which book it is, but it's after Fire and Sand are an official cat couple, where Sandstorm and Cinderpelt are pretty snarky with each other) I personally, am and always will be a Cinder/fire shipper.

Mainline Roasts Into the Wild: Begins with a young cat corrupted into a cult. Fire and Ice: Bigoted cult insists on making things more difficult for everyone for no reason. Forest of Secrets: Literally no one else except young cat notices obvious similarities between two cats. Rising Storm: Young cat tries to indoctrinate younger cat and refuses to give him agency and almost lets a genocide happen. A Dangerous Path: Young cat usurps power from dementia matriarch while fighting the result of some human incompetence. The Darkest Hour: An evil simping cat fails to murder anyone he tries to over and over again. Midnight: POV 1: A young she-cat broods over stuff. I’m only up to the fourth apprentice so let’s roast arcs 1-3 Into the wild: haha funny housecat joins cult because he wants to catch a mouse Fire and ice: Woah! house cat isn’t even old enough to become a warrior and gets an apprentice! Yippeee! Forest of secrets: I forgot what this book was about other than like Tigerclaw’s exile lol Rising storm: Ex-Housecat gets made second in command because first in command has no idea who is trustworthy anymore, also fire. But it destroys the clan. Spottedleaf curse you!!! A dangerous path: OMG! Evil villian guy gets made leader of the clan that chooses terrible leaders! Second in command is gasping in utter shock!!! Also isn’t Bluestar like gone for half of the gatherings in this book? WAIT SHES DEAD NOW- The darkest hour: Second in command goes to the magical blue crystal with his former apprentice who apparently had a crush on him. So he becomes the leader, Fire-man. OMG THERES A NEW VILLIAN AND HE KILLED THE OLD GUY! Talk about last minute changes. Time to use the power of friendship to kill him! Arc 2 at 10 likes ig

I'll get some more arcs in for you, The fourth apprentice - dovewing inconsistent eye color Fading echos - why is an irrelevant character suddenly pov character Night whispers - wow, you killed off the first shadowclan pov character, how "interesting" and "plot developing" Sign of the moon - filler book, what more can I say The forgotten warrior - why do cats keep coming back for the dead The last hope - why is firestar still relevant The apprentices quest - why are you remixing the name of the previous first of of the arc thunder and shadow - why did you add more pov characters, one was more than enough already shattered sky - shortest lasting prophecy in the entire series darkest night - too forgettable river of fire - stop using cross clan relationships as a plot point the raging storm - worst arc finale to date

There’s a lot of typos in the books and also in into the wild, bluestar knows Rusty’s name before he tells them his name

Thunder rising and river of fire literally have the same cover just flipped around, the raging storm and thunder and shadow are just different shots of two cats awkwardly looking away from each other, and the raging storm just sounds like the rising storm. For some reason after I typed that this emoji appeared on my keyboard 👺 Help

In the Darkest Hour, they called fireheart, firestorm.

Funny thing, so every protagonist ever has their mentor die motivating them to go on their hero journey, but if heavystep was your mentor he wouldn't die making it impossible to go on your hero journey, it it an interesting price to never have your mentor die, so would you rather never be a protagonist but have your mentor never die, or be a protagonist but have your mentor die?
