@@Fahrenheit_MotorsportsJustin’s trucks are definitely bad ass and yes he uses the same drivetrain parts but there’s a huge difference between a factory 20+ year old frame with a bunch of bolt on QA1 components than a fully engineered chassis that is designed to perform at a level far beyond and work better than any aftermarket bolt on part could ever achieve, not to mention all the factory GM components and RS functions that are developed into making there vehicles work the way they do. Talk to any builder that has used an RS chassis and they will all tell you there’s no comparison. There’s a reason all the top shops and builders worldwide are using RS chassis’s on their builds. Justin Kieth has mentioned he is going to be putting an OBS on an RS chassis in the near future and just watch when that build happens, I guarantee that trucks price tag will be substantially more than the 160k he got for his first two OBS builds and will be close to the same as what it cost to build this truck.

So i basically would have the same thing except mine would have the 78 small block 350 V-8 and not a LT4 . But since I would be saving $247,000 dollars , I'll try to find a way to cope with it 😂

The funny part is that RS says it's all "bolt on" and SOOO easy yet they charge $250,000 to make the "easy swap with no modifications". It's either an easy swap, so $60k chassis & engine, plus $10k-$15K to easy swap.. or its NOT an EASY swap and that justifies the $250,000 price. It CANNOT be both!! This goes with all of their SPEC chassis too, "easy bolt on" anyone can do it yet they charge $175,000 for an install with $30k full spec chassis, add a $20k LS engine & trans install. Is it easy, or not?? Major marketing glitch!! Quick math... Say the chassis and engine is $100,000 based on their website pricing. That leaves $150,000 in labor. Pull a few (10k) grand in BS parts like gauges, etc. At $200/hr for labor, that comes out to 40 HOURS A WEEK FOR 5 MONTHS... yet this is a do-it-at-home easy install.. 😂😂😂 If its taking professionals 5 months of 40 hour weeks to install, it'll take me 5 years and nowhere close to "so easy anyone can do it"

250k does seem a bit much. For that money i would rather have a build from Icon 4x4

Yeah it's 250k... marketed to to rich people that in this classic American made restomob FAD that's in and there just capitalizing on it and slapping extremely inflated prices on the vehicles their making ( don't get me wrong very nice work) just cause they have these picture perfect shops with camera crews and digital cad renderings is what they're selling not anything that special and this won't even see a real use day to day for the next 30 years like my 77 Cheyenne will with a 383 stroker on 35s

This truck is for dudes in dense urban areas that wear Carhartt and have beards and tattoos but can’t change a tire or check their oil.

@@gordocarbo that's the thing though, they didn't even do any R&D as the only thing they're actually fabricating is the frame. However it's designed to just use OEM GM suspension from a newer GM truck, so they probably just took a 3D scan of an OEM frame and dolled it up. GM are the ones that originally did the R&D in this case and you could essentially get the same results by just boxing in and stiffening the frame of whatever year truck that suspension was originally on. Their frame just looks fancy and has their logo on it so they claim it's worth $150k apparently.
