Roadside Logging Day 3: White and Red Oak Firewood

Hope you all are enjoying the videos. Day 3 roadside logging we found some nice white oak and red oak trees that the powerline companies cut down. Too bad I didn't have anything to get them on the trailer whole because they would have made amazing saw logs. They were all straight as arrows and about 16-24" in diameter. Oh well they will make some beautiful firewood bundles.

Nope, power line company came through and cut them down, rather than trimming them it’s easier for them to cut perfectly good trees down -_- but I’m not complaining. We were literally following the. As they were cutting them down 😆.

I've often thought about doing this because there is so much good wood lying on the ground around here in South Central PA. All the research though that I have done says it isn't legal to do roadside logging. Is this property you own? Just wondering if I am missing something or you know a secret that I don't

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for About 20 years so most of the police know who I am, and I’m In Good standing at that. I don’t care to research it that much either 😆. I’ve seen trees lying on the sides of the road that have turned to literally dirt just wasted. As far as The way I look at it, I’m helping the boro clean up the roadsides. I try to stick to my boro where I live and we have a ton of backroads. I’d never roadside log on windy curves or anything, just where it’s safe and won’t cause an accident. 4 ways with a couple cones ✅.
