Do the whole Forest Seasons album. Each song is different, like different are the seasons. You will be blown away by Spring, even more by Summer. Autumn will crush you, it's the most glorious piece of black metal I've ever heard and I'm literally forgetting to breath while experiencing it. The piece is majestic. And then comes the Winter... soft and cold and beautiful. For this one bring the tissues.

Just rewachted all tanks wintersun reactions and at the end of every reaction he said he wants to do other wintersun reactions. And a lot of people are recommending it. So im wondering why Tank did not do so yet? For sure he will like it....a lot!

Fact: The Finnish population is 5.5 million and there are more than 3.2 million saunas in Finland. We like the sauna 😄🤘

Sauna is a bath - why wouldn't there be many of them? :) Thousands of years old idea, before anyone even dreamed of a shower, except when by a waterfall. In the countryside practically all have it, and in cities every apartment building

@@timomastosalo Sauna being a part of Finnish culture or even the national identity derives indeed from rural countryside that makes the majority of Finland. Often the sauna was the only place that was (lack of better term) hygienic enough to conduct the most important parts of life. People went to sauna to give birth, and to die. The latter more of that the deceased was washed and prepared for the funeral. The Finns tend to go to sauna fully naked, yet there's not a bit of sexualization involved despite going there full monty. It's still somewhat treated as a holy place. A spiritual thing. As a bath, yes, why wouldn't there? But surely in other countries sauna is considered a luxury item. In Finland it's considered self-evident. If your flat doesn't have a sauna, the building undoubtedly has a shared one. I also heard that taking the average sauna size in Finland, multiplied by the number of saunas, the entire population of Finland could fit into it's saunas. tl;dr: We like the sauna

@@stimbeh Yeah, you don't need to tell that so detailed to me, I'm a Finn and have told most of that to many people. I just want to drop an air of oddity of it - like you said, it's self-evident for the Finns, cause in the core of it - it's a type of bath. Just utilizes sweating along that. Though some other activities were performed there. It was just rural practicality: the clean place for birth ans death (a hospital before hospitals). Nothing more mystical is needed to know now at the beginning of going there, that it's a bath enhanced with sweating in hot steam. So it wouldn't be such a wonder why there are so many saunas in Finland. I'm not sure if it's 'still' a spiritual place. Yes, some take it to be. In my family and relatives nobody speaks about like that. Heard that phrase only when 20 something. But I can get why people link religious thoughts to. It's nearly a Heavenly feeling just after a sauna: you're clean and warm, and your skin is soft like a baby's. Haven't seen scientific results, but I'm sure it releases dopamine, for the pleasant chill and calm you feel afterwards.

Wintersun Loneliness is one best metal ballads under the sun at least in my opinion, I have listened metal over 10 years and Wintersun is a hell of a band. Greetings from metal capital Finland btw

Jari is VERY particular, but that madness is what results in these absolutely unbelievable epics that we get. Watching and listening to them work, whether these videos or live in person, is an absolute treat. As always, you killed it. Fantastic video, and you have got to go see Wintersun as soon as you can. It just hits you in a different way.

To be honest, I love their debut album sooo much better. Starchild, Winter Madness, Beautiful Death. Pretty much the whole album. Not diss their newest work but their debut album is just gold for me♡♡

The man is a perfectionist the band as a whole is just on a whole new level of bad ass so happy saw these guys and they don’t disappoint

You should check Wintersun's first album. I recommend "Winter Madness", or "Starchild". If you want a more emotional song, "Loneliness" from The Forest Seasons album. And if you are interested in listening to Jari in Ensiferum, you should try Lai Lai Hei or Lost in Despair

Winter Madness, Sleeping Stars, Starchild, Beyond the Dark Sun along with Death and Healing from their first album are complete bangers. In fact the entire first album is one of my absolute favourites. The Four Seasons are also damn good, Autumn is incredibly juicy if you dig older black metal vibes and Winter tugs at your heart strings a fair bit. As someone who lives in the cold north, he has this very strange way of captivating the emotion of walking through a desolate, frigid landscape with nothing but your own thoughts keeping you company. The world might be fucked, humanity might be shit, but I am truly happy that I got to live in the same era as incredible musicians such as these guys.

Starting to be a favourite. Finnish melancholy at its best! 🇸🇪❤🇫🇮

I have to agree with the other guys who commented about Winter Madness, it has one of the most insane solos I have ever heard and a vibe that screams WINTER.

*WINTERSUN - THE WAY OF THE FIRE* : So far you've seen Wintersun live but in a very professionally controlled environment. There's one song from their (hopefully) upcoming album "Time II" which poses the second half of what was supposed to be one whole album. It's called "The Way Of The Fire" and there's a semi-well recorded video of them performig it in Hollywood in 2013. And in my humble opinion, even if it's not studio quality of course, I think it's their best song (so far). Always a pleasure to see your reactions, even more when it's Wintersun. For another ballad the certain choice is Loneliness (Jari made it for his dad), very melancholic but extremely beautiful. But I would love to see some of their old stuff here in the channel, Winter Madness (mind blowing solo), it's heavy, raw and very "old school" melodeath sound, I think you will enjoy

Kai Hahto is the one who opened my eyes to what goes on behind the drums and not just be blinded by the rest of the spectacle. These days my favorite musicians are people like Inferno, Kai, or Francesco Paoli (on drums). Jari is aspie level perfectionist about everything so no wonder it snuck its way into the music and is probably the main reason we have to wait many years for new stuff. It's not that computers crash under the load of 200 tracks. It's because Jari doesn't get the sound he wants from the 200 tracks limited by computer hardware

oh man I remember couple years ago I was looking for something new to listen and I found Wintersun...I bought their album instantly and I listen them every morning on the way to work and back home

This song is kind of a transitional song between Sons and Time, that's why in itself it feels like it ends without a bigger climax. The next and the last song of the album Time is the climax and I think this song works better in the context of the whole album

I'm a roadie (and a some sort of a amateur drummer) myself and I have been on stage as a roadie for Ensiferum, COB (RIP), Wintersun, Nightwish, Devin Townsend ... just to name a few, mostly at Tuska Festival and other festivals around Finland. The CD Time I is made to be listened to start to finish as each song leads into the next. The two other songs on the CD are short instrumentals that either help ling the songs or serve as an intro into one. It is essentially a 40+ minute song.

First Wintersun album is work of art :) You should check something from it. I recommend: "Death and the healing" - IMO best song and powerful solo, "Winter Madness" - best and hardest solo of all time ""Battle Against Time" - for headbanging :D "Beautiful Death" - sweep section in this solo is just sick You won't be dissapointed :)

I only recently discovered this song, I've probably heard it playing background to something else I'm doing, but only recently really focused on it, and my god is it my new favorite wintersun song

This is the second to last song on the album, winding it down. To understand, I highly suggest you get that album yourself and listen to it from start to finish in one go. It starts slowly (you can hear that part at the beginning of "Sons") and winds down after "Land". I have to add that I bought that album in a heartbeat after watching your reaction to it. I was blown away by the whole arrangement. I won't pick a favourite track of the album because to me it's one song altogether.

I know I’m late on this, but I was watching your Band-Maid and Babymetal reactions. I love them both and seen them both live. I wanted mention some other great Japanese metal bands you would totally love. Mary’s Blood, Lovebites, LADYBABY and PASSCODE. These bands are really great and as a metal head I’m glad I’ve discovered them to expand my library with talented artists like them.

Awesome vid as always, bro. You've probably already been told this a thousand times but the lead singer was the lead singer in Ensiferum back in the day. I'd recommend giving them a listen if you haven't already, it's viking metal with a lot of thrash thrown in. Slayer of Light is my personal reccomendation but the vast majority of their catalogue is ace. They also have a cover of Battery by Metallica which is superb.

...and I think that that is my favourite of the three. The world is a better place because of Wintersun.

Anytime I see you reacting to Wintersun it's an instant like. :) I strongly suggest Loneliness. I've never rooted around for a live version of it, I've only seen the lyric video, but either way, bring tissues! That song is so incredibly powerful. Otherwise, The Forest That Weeps from the same album.

To me, its not just theyre all useing Ibanez. What realy is mesmerizing me watching/heareing them is their rediculessly insane level of skill and how well the controll their instruments. There for sure are a lot of metalbands, and quiet a lot of them rly are amaseing to me, but only a few i listened so far manage to fit so well. Diese Jungs haben ein Talent dafür ihre Lieder so zu komponieren und ihre Instrumente so ein zu setzten das jeder Ton wie Zahnräder in einem Uhrwerk in einander greifen. Absolute Meisterklasse. Nicht viele Bands schaffen es das ich vom Sound hypnotisiert da stehe und einfach nur zuhöre.

The beginning chords of this song are slower, but eerily similar to the chords from Death's "Spirit Crusher" from about 2m30s to 2m50s and I can't unhear it.

I truly love this song. It shows what the band can do without the "excesses" of the other songs. Don't understand me wrong, as I love Time and Sons of Winter and Stars, too, but this one just gives us another look at the band, i.e. what they can do with a slower song without losing the heavy aspect of the music. TBH, I find that in some ways this song actually is in some parts heavier. A particular like of mine is the sound they do with the guitar that in a way stops the flow and makes a "complaint". Sorry that I cannot explain that better :-) Also, I like how this song highlights the backing vocals - they are incredible. IMO, all three singers are something special.

I strongly recommend Loneliness from their latest album The Forest seasons!

If you want heavy and dark Wintersun then listen to Eternal Darkness it’s the 3rd song from The Forest Seasons. But if you wanna do it right listen to all The Forest Seasons in order, there are only 4 songs on the album. It’s Jari’s take on Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

Great to have you back to Wintersu's music! As many have suggested, their 2017 album 4 Forest Seasons is good to listen to from start to finish in order. But I think I write about this in the past ...? And remember, the album doesn't have a drummer ... It's a machine. Funny when we say that Kai is a machine, then Jari doesn't get Kai on this album (Kai is already busy with Nightwish), so what does Jari do. Replace Kai with a machine ...! :D If you decide to turn to the older direction (first album was released 2004), then my favorites from the first album are "Winter Madness" and "Death and the Healing." That former holds a really interesting guitar solo! And if you want to listen to "The Way of the Fire" (which is a song from the upcoming Time 2 album), then two options. Either that second video from 2013 that someone put on. It has better sound quality. Or "70,000 Tons of Metal 2015", the sound quality may not be so good, but the atmosphere is better.
