Muar is a beautiful quaint little town. Good decision giving the Homestay a miss given that experience.

Wonderful. It looked like you guys are circling the peninsular Malaysia, from KL to the north on the west side, to the east coast from north to south, now from the south on the west side back to center in KL where you guys started the road trip.

As a citizen of Muar, really sorry you have to have not a not experienced. Really looking forward to see you exp our city actually. As citizen of both Muar and Batu Pahat, I think the only main thing to do in our city is to eat. It is a town for foodie.

One thing I understand about Muar people and Malacca people.. I will usually used the most polite word that I can think of via message or talking on the phone whenever if I tried to asked for help or telling them for something.. Yup . Their chosen word can be a bit harsh and savage but it more of expression of honesty.. not means they are hostile or rude.. well.. but if I talk to them in a most ridiculous humble and polite manner.. their tone and the way they talked will automatically change.. mostly.. well definitely I using Malay language with them. About the room with a window and view of outside is understandable.. we never wanted to be staying in some places that feel like some kind of prison and the feeling of trapped in there. But I also avoid choosing the place that have echos.. last thing I remember is getting woken up just because I heard something but just to find out it just my own snores or fart . 😅😅😅😅😅

Melaka welcome you. Unesco World Heritage City. Pack of tourist during weekend. Do visit klebang beach & try the famous coconut shake. Try also melaka signatures - asam pedas tetel, asam pedas pari, cendol, ABC, mee goreng basah, ayam masak lemak etc

Hotels is often cheaper on weekdays. But come weekend or school holidays, the prices will double or triple. I did the same thing as you guys back in 2002, riding Honda EX5 all around the peninsular. Watching you guys doing it make me want to do it again. Not sure my old bones can take it though.

Batu Pahat is still in the state of Johor, just like Johor Bahru is also in the state of Johor, but it doesn’t matter, many Malaysians also regard Johor Bahru as Johor.

As a citizen from Johor Bahru, recently I had just gone to Melaka today and ummm... it's pretty hot there and the apartment I had rented with a swimming pool that has been under renovation for 2 months. Batu Pahat and Muar also good to explore but I chose Melaka and Johor Bahru cuz there are good sceneries there and trying eateries that we haven't tried before. As a local from Johor Bahru, I will wish yall happy travelling here in Malaysia.

To a certain extents , ya, the accomodation part plays a factor in whether you are going to enjoy your stay or not? Especially, in my case when you are travelling with your family ( and with a kid). The place where you guys are staying looks pretty familiar, if I'm not mistaken, you are quite near to the Portuguesee Settlement. ( Ya, I go to Malacca very now and then). Anyway, cheers mates!
