Thanks for this. My main reason to start knitting was to have something to do in the train.

Just found your channel. I love the point you make with Dramine. Sometimes I get that queezie feeling and just let past. Sadly I fall asleep so wasted hours. I do believe road trips afford it. Sometimes I travel solo several hours and my breaks are creativity, from knitting, crochet, or embroidery. Great ideas with not taking the very favorites. I love the sweater and the repeated pattern so makes sense. Your voice is friendly and soothing. Like sitting down with a friend for a sip and knit. Good luck with your future postings as I am looking forward to it.

❤ love your projects, and thank you so much for all of the tips. I don't knit 😢 I'm more of a crochet person, but after seeing this video hmmm I can learn how to knit. Thank you.

I always got car sick i had to drive everywhere it was the only thing I could do from getting sick. Until I found C-bands you can pick them up at an big chain drug store. 14.99 Its a fabric band with a knob on it place on a pressure point and now I can read, crochet anything and I don't get sick . Now my husband has to drive everywhere so I can work on my projects.

I like how you use the side door cup holder as a yarn cozy. I'm so happy that you and your hubby enjoyed the road trip. Your Clubhouse Raglan Hoodie is so pretty! 👏🏽

Thanks for talking about motion sickness and knitting, the struggle is real! I usually bring vanilla socks, but now am challenged to set up projects to carry!

I just recently subscribed and have been watching your channel. I absolutely love watching your videos. They are so well made and you provide so much valuable information that I just had to let you know and say thank you. I do knit occasionally but am an avid crocheter.

Glad your vacation went well and you did quite a lot of knitting. I always travel with some type of project - even if it's just for a short trip to run errands etc with someone. Great video - lots of helpful tips - thanks for this info! Take care, Kris K from CT 🧶🌻🌞

My public library has the book "Coffeehouse Knits" by Kerry Bogert, where the pattern for the House Blend Cardigan is included. It's on its way to the branch near me. Yours looks great, love the color.

@@the_copycat_stitch Yes, I linked into your Ravelry page, found the sweater in your projects, then found the source for the pattern. I should have Coffeehouse Knits in hand in time to enjoy it over the July 4th weekend. I've been looking for a full-length comfort sweater for a long time. Thanks!

That Faux Mo is so pretty!! What a nice color too, and I bet it would knit up pretty fast since its a little thicker. Thank you for sharing all your projects with us! But Question, didnt you already take your trip, or did I miss the note that this was prerecorded?

So are you saying Dramamine doesn't work if you look at your knitting while working on it?

I'm not sure which you mean, but most of the needles I use are vintage nylon circulars, they're my favorite! As far as I know no one makes then anymore, but they're always very cheap at antique and thrift stores. The ones I love best are from Susan Bates and Marcia Lynn.

Good travel tips and lessons learned. I got lots of help from Roxanne Richardson's Finish it February. She has lots ideas about sorting and prioritizing you UFOs, including what to do about the Pile of Ambiguity after you sort your UFOs and create your plan of action for February.

How does the Dramamine not knock you out? Also, I have one of the DMC thread cutters that is great for situations where I can't bring my snips or scissors with me (like on a plane or into a baseball game). It's not a perfect solution, but it will cut thread so I can change colors, and then I usually keep a pair of scissors in my checked luggage/main suitcase for anything that may need more precise cutting later.

Original Dramamine does make me sleepy, I take the "less drowsy" kind. I actually ended up finding that little keychain one at Looped in DC, so it was perfect!
