My name is Greg Mustreader, I am a Candidate Master in chess, an entrepreneur and host of several podcasts.
In this channel, I interview top chess players (my guests include Nepo, Fabi, Aronian, Dubov and many others - the unreleased podcasts will be published in January-February), play against chess AIs, analyze the most interesting chess games and combinations of today and of the past, as well as show you my path in chess and the way I work on my chess improvement (including recaps from the tournaments I play).
I live in Almaty, Kazakhstan and travel the world extensively (been to 50 countries). I'm 30 years old, I have a girlfriend, two dogs and two cats. I speak English, Russian, German, and a bit of French and Chinese.

Yes, if you tune out most distractions and pay (at a high premium for us adult improvers) with your time, then this is definitely doable. Regarding what I personally would want to see the most, those weekly OTB training games filmed without audio, just a camera filming a serious game and then a voice over of you analyzing the game, well, I should say summarizing your serious off-camera analysis you do for yourself. LOL I see our friend Mustreader is playing the "long game". FIDE master "day 1" will become "day 2" then "day 1000" then day "10000" and all the while we fans are waiting for him to become FM, and will continue to watch this channel! Well played, master.

Good luck. I am approx your level (1820). I also started to work on my chess more, target is to reach 2000 by the end of the year. What’s your plan on tournaments? How many you gonna play/ year and which ones?

This year, I plan on playing a tournament in Almaty in May, a tournament in Kyrgyzstan in June, and then I’ll try to play at least once per 2 months

As I said in the video, neither Levy GothamChess nor Hans were inspirations for this particular video series (although they are both interesting and charismatic guys, of course). This was inspired by my desire to set myself a challenge in the area of chess and by my newly rekindled passion for the game
