Road to Backside Air: Episode #5 - Popping on Transition

Спорт

I'm giving in and sticking with the Mitchie Brusco method. to get good BS Air practice I need to figure out how to pop under the coping and release from the ramp. In this session, I'm focused on nothing else but the pop!

Yeah man! This series has inspired me to start my own Vert JourneyTM this week. My local doesn't have anything this big so I'm gonna have to make do with a 7 footer and find an excuse to drive the 2hrs back to the only big bowl in the state haha

Heck yeah, dude!!! I can relate to the long drive as the vert ramp I've been practicing on is about an hour and a half away (without SoCal traffic), but luckily this bowl is only about 30 mins away. It's super fun and humbling skating vert and feels like learning skating all over again but I'm hooked. I think 7ft is definitely big enough to get some solid practice, especially on BS Ollies. If you're like me, you'll start making excuses to make that two hour drive more than you'd like to haha. Keep me posted on your progress!

@@GrawrD Will do! I've seen your stuff on IG and r/oldskaters, I post there as well. It's nice to know even SoCal folks have to drive to ramps lol. There were two vert ramps in VT, but one was outdoors and rotted out and the other is indoor and they closed the whole park this past fall. Oh well, time to put some miles in!

It’s cool having these communities to push us when so many of us skate alone cause we just skate when we can. Just threw a follow back your way on instagram!
