To effectively use side slash's mobility its good to mls>ss to catch opponents in mid range. As for the damage, using it on a downed opponent sticking to the wall gives it multiple hits then rebounds them.

Its actually unbelievable how youre doing so well againts those clerics, specially those that do afk no jutsu. They are basically hard to deal with right now, same with defensio and silver hunter. Keep up the good work! (I main BP btw, its hard :').

Alright guys whats ya fav PvP class? I've been grinding a moonlord because i loved playing it back in NA, but I want something else too... Been thinking destroyer or machina? What do you guys think? I haven't played since 80 Cap but back then I had like every class lol side note this is really taking me back to the old days of watching this channel and learning how to gear my classes. I'm so excited to start this DN journey again.

Defensio (Machina), because of its extreme agility buff, spammable skills that generate high SAB and SA, high damage without even needing a buff (the buffs are for defensive purposes rather than offensive, but you can use it as offensive). Basically amongst broken class (just like Moonlord, Smasher, Crusader, Spin-offs, etc.), but I hold back on those who are new and pro (but not rude), and go all-out on those who spams op skills, using emotes on corpses, people who trashtalk on me, abusing "wait/time-out" or kiting strategy. I use that class to let my steam off my head, of course when someone asks for an SB duel, I respectively follow it and accept defeat if I were defeated. But those who are sadistic on those defeated players, I become sadistic to them as well.

@@zelquist I don't even know why Destroyer is much weaker than Barbarian in terms of PVP (I might be wrong on this, so I need enlightenment) to the point that I even stopped killing them and instead, start teaching them some tactics for something to learn and let my character be beaten up just for the sake of them learning these tactics. I even give them advice not to use that class since they're not going anywhere with it, but there's someone once told me who is genuinely mad at me just because I start giving them advice not to use that class they genuinely loved. I learned that mistake and avoided discouraging them from using Destroyer.

aeth this actually drue. Even our good friend took his pvp skills from the video and got instantly rewarded with a pen urugons in bdo. Just shows how amazing reach this video have in terms of crossing different games.

13:17 THIS is where you gotta press click again for S front shove to do additional dmg. It will deal an extra 10k dmg I think and oh also u can use the small dash skill (awakening) into finish attack it goes pretty fast like that. Great wid tho, keep it going

Are you sure those work in PvP? Just checking because some awakening skill is not usable in pvp (esp the heavy slash -> FA)

I'm done being a passive player, even I tried letting them do what they want and respecting their spaces, they get their high hopes for winning just because I let them win, and started using emotes on me. This is why I never hold back at spamming [Rock Away] (Defensio) at these opponents who AFK. They'll only realize and panic when I drained their health to half in such a short time. Funny thing is that they get pissed when their AFK tactic got interrupted immediately, they never knew that spamming Gear Step is possible at the start of the round, all I need is to use [Fly By] towards them and start spamming it while they're afk and they'll immediately start moving.

Haha so tough being patrona class, if you lag ur main skills are blocked, if you meet spammers while lagging ypu cant do anything cause you dont have aoe skills to spamm,,

I remember the old "Hacking stance" combo for Gladiator just after you launch an oponent... is that still a thing? Or did they nerf it or something? Cause I didn't see you using it and from my old past experience, It did TONS of damage. Great vid Mr.AikawaKazu!

The hacking stance skill isn't as good as before because the damage is poor, so most people only use it to dodge now.

with the addition of "Side dodge", i always accidentally trigger it when trying to sidekick mid skills cast. I guess that's why I didn't see myself putting it in since I'm avoiding "side-kicking"-triggering into side dodge nowadays :( When I get more fluent and familiar with the basic stuff perhaps I can warrant it a slot :)

Hey there Kazu. Fellow returning player. Re-read your writeup from a couple years back (projectsavedn). It's quite interesting to note that some of the changes that you recommended are actually in the game now; like fixed time to reach certain stat caps (cdmg, crit, certain 3rd stats etc), fluidity of skill rotations in pve, removal of class discrimination (and introducing class bloat....), easing new players and such. Do you think the devs finally took a couple notes from it?

maybe they did :) can't confirm though. so far for me it is very fun to play DN. it has some kind of balance in a way, I don't feel that gearing is so easy till it feels like everything is given to me free on a platter (alot of games do that) and yet you feel yourself progressing steadily every week. My next pve video on gearing (part 2) should shed more light on how I feel about this too.

@@AikawaKazu That's how I feel as well; there's a lot more consistency in the gear progression that's just right for middle tier, and yet things aren't just spoonfed which is great. The fact that they made older nests relevant again is great for variety and nostalgia too; only gripe i have for now is the game's performance even on a higher end rig, but hopefully the incoming september patch changes that. Looking forward to your next video Kazu!

Yo when you get 15 physical rising from getting hits on people, don't use brave yet. Instead, use Hyper Drive or Finish Attack(in a combo) to use the 15 physical rising if you have either skill available, then use brave on your opponent to get back 10 physical rising instantly. It might be depend on gameplay though, because people usually save it for damage output. I haven't played the game in years, but if my advice is of any use to you then take and if not leave it as is. :)

Just pursue them until they ran out of evasive moves, drain their mobility skills until you can do a full combo on them, will be much harder when they're transformed. So you have to practice on using mobility skills to travel from each edges of the map in a short time, and that will help you hunt down SH opponents who are good at evading attacks. Anticipation, Sound Cue, and Timing is key

for me as Knight Commander rank and 1850 ratings, the hardest assasin to deal with is, Ripper > Raven > AW > LF

The current Nerf of Gladiator is Main skills have increased Cooldowns Triple Slash,Deep Straight and Dash Slash&Combo got SAB amount nerfed (the most fucked up nerf) Parry/Counter have High cooldown and Nerfed Damage

unli mana/sp again in ladder. i miss this. i remembered when they started limiting the sp in ladder dnsea - it ruined the ladder, then there were OP assasin everywhere. well... good ol days... 🤷
