Road Test: Dodge Shelby Charger (1986)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The 1986 Shelby Charger throws you back in its supportive seats with a turbocharged 2.2, 4-cylinder engine at 146-hp. Five-speed manual is standard, with an optional 3-speed automatic. The other change in all 1986 Chargers is the government-required addition of a high-mounted rear brake light.
Video footage from the KXAS-TV/NBC station in Fort Worth, Texas, to accompany a news story.

I haven't seen a Dodge Shelby Charger on today's roads. These cars are ultra rare

I had a very rare 69.5 Mustang Mach 1 GT SCJ . After selling it and not killing myself I bought a Shelby Charger in 86. I test drove every American car other than the Corvette . I would never lose to one and didn't have the money to buy one. The Shelby was last on the list . I think I drove it a couple blocks and I was sold. The car also seemed to have more respect than my SCJ . I mean who would go home and tell your buddy you got smoked by a four cylinder. I got as many tickets as the Mustang with a fraction of HP . I had the highest HP Mustang and there is a replacement for displacement . I wish I had it back ,and the Mustang. I'd sell the Mustang though and keep the Charger. 😜❗
