Road legal HiLux enters 4x4 Comp - are we crazy? BROKEN AXLE - only 1hr to fix it?!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Jocko's Pony lux, the little LN106 that could - hits the BIG LEAGUES! Jock & Matt Kinselas are wheeling this budget build in a proper, full on competition at Springs 4WD park. Jocko's gotta play by the rules for once and learns how the comp truck world works, replaces ANOTHER CV in a field and has a heck of a lot of fun in-between.

Matt n Jocko are the most enjoyable to watch on the channel, especially when ya watching jocko working in the weather on a milk crate backyard style like most of us all do 🤙🏼
Bahahaha Jocko wrote down the hiluxs engine type as "slow" 😂😂😂
There’s something about Jocko, isn’t there? His attitude is contagious.

Agreed... Except that your looking at 15-20K plus to pick up and set up a rig like that now. Ln106 oil burner (diesel) is my favourite hilux, owned a couple in my younger days... My first one cost me 5K with 75Thou on the clock, from just down the road from where I was ... Now your looking at a reasonable stock one for around 10k starting price with hundreds of thou on the dial!. I'm still getting one tho, just, maybe a bit later than I'd like!. I have owned and driven solid and independent hilux dual and single cabs, and my favourite is still the old white dual cab Ln106 (like this one) except the previous owner threw on a turbo kit which was great, till I had to fix that... But with a replacement from MTQ, back in the day, and it served me well for about 5 years and I'm sure a other couple hundred thou! Their "Achilles Heel" is maintenance!... Keep up on replacing said thing a bit before it comes up in the book, or at the first sign of failure, and you can see 400 plus Km's on stock guts!... It's all about keeping it happy and healthy!. *Note. I never did crazy comp truck things, but I did make it do some pretty tuff tracks (so medium for this lot) and I didn't break as many CV's as old Jocko here!.
Go Jocko. Go Pony !!! Pipped at the post by only fifteen points. The Pony is a true thoroughbred. Also, great to see the unsung heroes of 4WD 24-7, the camera crew, make it past editing and onto the screen. Saved the day with the pitstop workout.
What a shame shaun didint entre daryl to compete against the pony lux

Jocko, you've came a long way since I first saw you on 4WD action. These segments with the Luxxy have been incredibly informative. Thanks, mate!
Loved this episode. As great as the comp was my highlight was Jock's mechanic talk for the first 10 minutes or so. The bloke really knows his stuff and in my opinion is the strongest asset to the channel. Good stuff guys!
Jocko and Matt together. What a team. 👍👍👍

OMG, I absolutely want to see more of this type of stuff with Jock & Matt doing competitions and also Jesse doing the winch competitions. That would really bring 1m subscribers to 2m subscribers!
This build has inspired me to do the same. I have always wanted a 2nd or 3rd gen 4Runner and since seeing this build over the last few weeks it has me ready to start. I cleared a 10k budget with the wife. Got the money in the bank and am on the prowl for just the right one. I am taking my time to find a good solid foundation and plan to build more for general overlanding and not so much rock climbing. You guys at 4WD 24-7 have helped keep me sane through 2020 and now its time to see if I learned anything. Keep up the great work and thanks for doing this budget build and giving me the confidence go for it so soon. When I get my first trip on the way I'll make sure me and my brother crack open the first beer to all of you. A tip of the hat to you from Texas.
The team at 24/7 Adventure rare hitting all my impulses. Great segment, education, entertaining and I times holding my breath. Well done on manoeuvring that pony beast luxxy
I'll never get tired of this channel. Jock and Matt don't lose your simple yet super approachable persona to your videos. Keep them coming.
loved it so refreshing to see something different on your channel not to say that the other eps are lacking comp truck driving is a great sport and it is so good to see that the budget rigs we build can go and have a crack well done jocko
Jocko you are a champ, love seeing how you have developed your media skills, you should be proud of yourself, cheers Mate.

Absolutely loved this episode!! Didnt know they had comps for this! That makes my love for off roading grow even more, love competing or watching comps! Team pony is awesome! Such a great and knowledgable episode. :)
Love this!! Congratulations on 2nd place. Nearly guessed it right on Instagram. Go Team Pony!!!!
Love these two. Could have their own bloody show hopefully Matt stays on with the show. Knows more and drives better than half the others
Well done. I have been looking forward for this episode. 2nd place. Not bad for your first run. The pony did us proud.
Great episode. Jock is a star, killing the presentation game. Matt kinsella seems like a down to earth bloke. 4wd 24 7 has a winner with these guys.
Looks like a real fun format to compete in. Go the pony. And cred to Matt for limping around the tracks 🥳🇸🇪
These pony vids are great, jocko and Matt always bring a smile with their laid back but exciting attitude, keep them coming boys
Just watched the first section about you repairing the the cv and swivel hub. Mate I'm a 4x4 specialist mechanic and the depth you went to regarding preloads on the pin bearings etc was fantastic advice for those who don't know. Saving lives from the death wobbles that can occur from this. I'm so glad #4wd247 have got you on board Jocko! You're most likely helping out alot of people with your advice mate. I tip my hat to you Sir... Well done and keep up the good work👍

Thanks mate! It’s very humbling having a professional like yourself telling me I got it right! Really appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching!
More of this would be great! It's cool to see how these comps work. I've never been to one but have watched a few on YT. But to have the commentary and pro camera work is awesome. Would love to see more with behind the scenes and interviews with officials and some by standers etc. Cover mostly less modified classes that is more doable or relatable for the bulk of us. Nice easy going and fun vids to watch. 10 outa 10!
Jock killing it in his first comp. Also really well behind the camera
Jock you're taking 4wd-247 to the next level brother!! Major props from the US.
Great job, well done fellas. Would be great to see the Pony and Darryl do a comp one day.. cheers
@4WD 24-7, Jock, what a bloody epic team mate, the wee pony is a legend
Jock's laughs sound so childishly innocent therefore so contagious.. Awesome job mates. Chees from the USA! 👍
I have been enjoyed watching you boys building the mighty pony, and can't wait for more
Love this format, Well done Jock and Matt
Can we keep this series going? More comps and slowly building the truck up tougher and tougher!
10 seconds in and I already know it gunna be a crackin' episode🔥🔥

jocko should enter his sased luxy to see how she goes
It's so good that you show people that you don't need big flash rigs to have fun
Great times! Thanks for sharing this.
This video is awesome! Real tips from a regular guy, using regular tools, sitting on a milk crate just like I would be. Jocko is the man!
I run early Tritons in 4x4 comps in WA. Very stock. 33x10.5x15 Silverstone Extremes, lokka front diff, shimmed LSD rear, bash plates, extended shackles and home made Tube Winch bar. Its a spare road car during the day. It surprises many. Ive now got a dual cab v6 I ran in Feb. The tracks beat it in Feb. Broken and dented. The cars initial cost was 300 bucks. It owes me about 2k total. Its bags of fun!
Wow the pony lux is an absolute monster, awesome build boys
Jocko you're a legend!! Holding it down for the budget rigs
Nice job in 2nd place finish for ur first competition and excellent content. Team Pony!
Very entertaining. Jocko is very natural in front of the camera, great job mate!
Well done guys! You make a great team!

Definitely the best series on the show. Jock and he's mate have the best attitude. Should get Jesse and a mate to do the same thing with the Patrol 🔥
Jock is by far the best addition to 4WD24/7! What a legend!
Matt is the best spotter to ever feature on 4wd247
Love your work Jocko, you’re a legend!!

Awesome...I'm working on modifying my 1995 Tacoma....I would love to so a SAS but for now running 34's with 3" lift. Love yawls videos!
These shows have proven to me that I should be glad to have u joint axles in my Jeep. Though a set of RCV shafts look like the best alternatives.
Congrats on the podium finish!
Nice work Jock! Hopefully see the lux in more trip videos?
Wicked episode jock and matt, legends!!
Thanks lads, another enjoyable vid, keep up the good work. On another matter, I read this last week, straight from ABC, "Four-wheel-drive accessories company ARB collected $9.8 million in JobKeeper while staying profitable last year.
So excited right now.
Well done boys! Good on ya!
Well done Jock and Matt!
Nice work Jock n Max!
Great job on the comp. I'd get a Zook to modify for competition, short, nimble and capable.
Australian rock-crawling is pretty different from here but it's still really cool to see you folks having fun
The Yellow 24 on the windscreen is my favorite part :)
That looks fun as a driver ! The spotters work there ass off nice job guys !!
