IF YOU THROW ENOUGH MONEY AT IT YOU CAN REBUILD IT BETTER THEN IT WAS. MONEY.

I've put over 500 hrs on my 98 kx 125 as a test and the only thing's i changed was trans oil, tires, fork seals and grips. Still makes the same power and top end still looks great. Ran the bike in many hard enduro races and single track, it just goes to show that the new stuff isnt built like the old stuff...

You flatly did not run a 1998 KX125 to 500 hours without a top end. That's not possible. Don't lie to us. I owned a 2000, and I blew it up. Those bikes were made of cheese. Your old green tiddler wasn't and isn't as good as current bikes.

I don’t believe that, on one top end? I’ve heard of bikes going to 500 hours but with a few rebuilds
