The music that starts at 7:40 for the pique arabesque and pirouette combination is the merry go round of life from Howl's Moving Castle. One of my favorite pieces of music.

The fabulous Mayu in action ... I love the poise she has en pointe, when she lets us believe she can stay up there forever!! Strong, lyrical and graceful ... I love watching her perform!

Which is why 'as beautiful as a ballet' is an English phrase (which gets 93,000 hits on Google). Even just in practice. A world without ballet is unthinkable.

Wonderful to see Patricia Barker training new dancers, but I sure miss watching her on the Seattle stage. She was one of my favorites for many years! I adored her in Voluntaries.

In class the teacher seems to be giving them notes and exercises that they should already know as professional ballet dancers.

No matter the level, a ballet class is about improvement. No one has perfect technique that’s why every professional still has to maintain their technique through class.

I wonder how Dimitri Kleoris has been doing recently with the Royal NZ? He is an amazing dancer. Can he still dance? If so, can he do the fish with a partner and a shoulder sit as well

ah so thats why there was pretty blond dancer standing on table, I got to say shes one of the prettiest witches I have ever seen heh actually she looks like a old time german bakery lady with that headpiece on , and she moves much like a glamorous hollywood actress from yesteryear with the guys that are supposed to be gingerbread men perhaps I forget what they said they were supposed to be.

They're usually based out of St James theatre but I think they're located somewhere else at the moment because of earthquake strengthening.

It's a new building put up in what used to be the carkpark of the Michael Fowler Centre, while the St James is being worked on.
