Always prefer the one with alcohol smell. It gives me a sense of security.

5:37 that's why hand washing is always better than using sanitizers! While the alcohol can kill the germs on the hands, the dead germs (as well as those germs that didn't get into prolonged contact with the alcohol) will stay on your hands until it's wiped off or washed away. With hand washing, not only is it more effective in killing the germs and other microbes on your hands (with the agressive hand-washing motion), these germs will also be washed down the drain when you rinse the soap off at the end!

There are dead germs in the tap water too, even after washing your hands you can't get rid of them 100%. Why obsessed about dead germs? All the cooked food you eat have dead germs in them. Dead germs are everywhere.

​@@MagicalKid Of course there's dead germs everywhere, there's dead everything everywhere! But as you've correctly highlighted, there's no 100% guarantee for anything, and that's another one of the reasons why hand washing is better than hand sanitizing. Unless you use a large amount of hand sanitizer each time and aggressively rub your hands before the alcohol dries out, there's just a higher chance that a lot of places on the hand didn't get enough contact with the alcohol to kill all the germs. Soap just doesn't dry out the same way! On a side note, it needs to be noted there are both "good" and "bad" germs. The good ones help to strengthen your gut biome and overall immunity, while the bad ones can be fatal and have long-lasting effects. Surely you wouldn't be okay with eating a piece of E. coli-ridden raw chicken, would you? Our goal is never to get rid of ALL the germs in the world because we do need them. We just need to stay away from those harmful ones.

@@DanialRosli once dead, the germ is just nothing. Btw washing hands using soap does not prevent you to keep the good germs, it kills everything. The reason why washing hands is preferred just because it is safer to the skin and easily cover most of the hand (if done properly same goes to hand sanitizer). So your point about dead germs is not even a reason why someone should wash hands instead of using hand sanitizer.

@@rained23JMTi Perhaps I should have phrased it differently, but my point about the good & bad germs had nothing to do with the act of hand washing or sanitizing, it was merely a response of MagicalKid's comment on the supposed obsession with germs and the presence of germs in cooked food. And yes, effective hand washing would kill almost everything on your hands. And yes, I did mention about how soap is more effective against other microbes (which alcohol alone may not be effective in eliminating)! Which is why aside from the dead germs that the alcohol has already killed, think about all the other germs resistant to the alcohol that are still on your hands if they don't get washed away. To be fair, soaps can also be as much of an irritant to the skin as alcohol if overused. Everything needs to be done regularly, but not excessively. There are both soaps and sanitisers that are gentler to the skin out there in the market.

Dah ada orang test kan. Basuh tangan lagi berkesan untuk bunuh virus dan kuman dr guna hand sanitizer. Sanitizer ni patut guna waktu takde air/sabun berdekatan. Kalau ada sabun dan air lebih berkesan guna sabun dr hand sanitizer.

I prefer the more liquid one, like those provided in hospitals, the alcohol smell gives me a feeling that my hands are more disinfected compared to those that are in gel form and scented type. 🤣

I don’t really care about the texture so much, but I do prefer the gel because it is easier to manage.. I always buy the ones with a smell I can tolerate.. Some smell really floral, some are fruity, some have very strong alcohol smell.. I rarely use the public provided sanitizer because most of them smell really bad.. Really trigger the puke..

Price like that it better be preventing covid 19 strain abcdefg etc
