Fighting RM oppa! Without RM: 1) BTS would've ended years ago. 2) Jungkook wouldn't have joined. 3) ARMY would've never existed. There are many things that RM did for BTS, Yet some ARMYs can't see or even appreciate it. It was quite hard to see Solo Stans who disliked his Forever Rain when it was just uploaded. Hopefully, some of them see that RM is THE heart of the group and that all 7 members deserve love.

Out of all members in BTS, I think I like RM songs the most. The lyrics are always so simple and genuine. It is not overloaded with emotions or tries to send a particular message. I can say that I was captured by the line: “I love you Seoul, I hate you Seoul” cause as he mentioned early in the start of the song, Seoul does sounds like “soul”. This is how I felt about it: He's playing with the words, not making it clear if he's saying soul or Seoul. I feel like he means that sometimes he hates the city for the ambient it holds, but sometimes he hates his soul for feeling like that about it when it's still part of him. But that's the point, it's just part of him. That's why he keeps mixing Seoul and soul, love and hate, and creating THAT feeling. Isn't love, isn't hate, is just both of them creating a new feeling which takes place of his soul.

It took me a long time to understand what these lyrics really meant, not only to Namjoon, but to me. The feeling of loving the place you live, but at the same time hating it. Hating the smell and the haze, and the hustle, but growing to love it. Hating how everything stays the same, but growing to love that as well. The feeling of wanting to leave and move on like all of your friends, but you feel like you can’t because this is your home. Namjoon was right, in this case, love and hate really are the same word. I agree with you. When you go to a city to live there for the first time, it is very easy to fall in love with all of the lights and buildings. It seems so fun and you feel like a part of a greater community. Only when you realize how busy and faceless every person you pass by you will feel hatred towards it. All the pollution, the noise and the distracting lights would make you tired of the place and want to go home. But when you are away from it, you will realize that it has become your home as well. “And the Han Rivers that bear too much Han” - the “Han” here sounds and spells the same as Han River and Hanguk (Korea in Korean) but it means something completely different. I'm going to say it again: Joon is a musical/lyrical genius. Man, everything about him is beautiful -- his intelligence, his mind, heart, drive, ambition, purpose...HE'S beautiful, inside and out. He's SO IDEAL man. SO beautiful. Kim Namjoon, Joon, RM....a genius! Even before translating the lyrics, I FELT them; then they became even more meaningful when I understood. I even got a revelation when I read the lyric “If love and hate are the same words...” like I literally said “WOW” out loud. He has ALWAYS been a genius, especially when it comes to music; u could totally feel his vibe and his type of style of music he makes. THIS IS SO HIM. I freakin love the chill, authentic, nostalgic, old and new, and realness of it and the MELODY WAS PERFECT! I couldn’t even imagine what the melody would be like if THIS wasn’t it! The bgm, the video production was so dope...a music video wasn’t needed (but best believe if he did one I would WATCH it! I can totally see how he would do it too); HIS VOCALS!!! His type of music is A MIX of everything it’s ridiculous; that’s what he is, A MIX/A BLEND of EVERYTHING. Just beautiful Joon, oh ma gawd - plus I listened to this when it first came out but I just decided to add my two cents lmao but honestly I love it. He deserves it. It felt like deja vu like I heard this before a long time ago and it’s amazing. He’s also so damn CLEVER, cuz at first it sounded like play on words, I heard: I love your soul/I love you so; I hate you so.... I live in you....like come on it’s so sweet. Beautiful. Like if I were to make music, I would have the type of vibe and essence he has...I even felt that from his 1st album which blew me away. I always knew that he was capable then and now. His entire album was absolutely magnificent. I really am blessed to live in a generation where I get to witness a true artist (there’s many) but Joon is in a category all by himself. I just don’t see him as just an artist; he is an ideal type of human like he’s....unique, amazing, humble, caring, real, intelligent, respectful, young and full of wisdom, passionate, honest, hilarious, and just all the way HIM. Namjoon's voice is so soothing, when I listen to him I always feel goosebumps

What I love about Namjoon is that his priority is not about being popular or surpassing others' views, he dropped all of this unannounced and unpromoted! He didn't showcase and highlight himself in these music videos because he doesn't want the attention on him but his music. He just wants to do what he loves doing, wants to let the people who have stuck beside him to get the messages he puts out through his music. His soul is too pure for us.

I don’t really comment often, but I just want to say this song means a lot to me. Not because of the meaning of the song itself, but because of how it’s helped me. Seoul and the rest of mono have helped me through a multiple mental breakdowns, and make me feel better when I’m generally down. I can’t explain why. It just helps. I’m forever grateful to Namjoon for making this playlist, and for helping me, even if he doesn’t know it.

Okay but this is why he is my bias. His lyrics are so beautiful, I love them. He chose BTS over being a soloist, that was his best choice his whole entire life. He spreads so much love and positivity, I love that so much. He is truly listening to himself and BTS, they’re saying we should love ourselves, while we’re on that journey, they are in it with us. Even though they’re idols, doesn’t mean they’re 100% perfect. Yes, they’re incredibly handsome, caring, amazing, etc! But they don’t see that fully, we see ourselves everyday, the more we see ourselves the more flaws we find. They’re telling us to ignore all that, we’re beautiful/handsome on the inside and outside. As I was born in Seoul and still live in Seoul, this song makes me kinda overwhelmed and moved. I can relate to the lyrics a lot. The video really shows the scenery I see a lot in Seoul. I never knew Seoul could come to me as such a melody. And as a Korean, I'm really proud of him for making many people know about Seoul and Korea. Thank you Namjoon. I didn't really love my hometown deeply, but after this, I think that I'm already so used to Seoul that I became part of it and it became part of me.
