I love this song so much, it's so comforting to listen to. It's Namjoon telling us it's okay to be sad, but that that does not define us, and we are more than our shadows.

Fun fact: In his most recent livestream, RM goes more in-depth behind the story and the experiences he had while making mono, and he revealed that he had actually planned on having another artist feature on Moonchild but due to some reason (things not lining up properly between the two artists), RM ended up having to sing the chorus...in other words, he initially didn't plan on singing on the track in the first place.

well he really didn't discuss the lyrics just the concept of each songs and background stories in making his entire playlist

it seems like you guys like analyzing the visual aspect of things! i think one of the most interesting projects bts has done are the short films for wings. As a teaser for blood, sweat, and tears, BTS released 7 short films that are loosely tied to the novel "Damien". They are super artsy and just really fun to think about and analyze.
