HI DEAR!! It's so good to see you!! Take care of yourself and recover quickly. Don't rush to film videos, take your time and feel free to listen to and watch namjoon's album and content on your own. You need the break! 💜💜 My initial reaction to this music video was we're getting to see different timelines of namjoon, possibly his own desires, his own multiverse, which he mentioned a few times.. most recently during festa. Another theory could be it's all about self acceptance and finding your place in the world. You don't have to fit into the mold of anyone's perception of success. Just be happy. Throughout the mv he never felt like he fit into any of these roles of being a husband, a boyfriend, or partying with his friends. Life is a journey and by the end he meets a girl who was also lost and confused, she could also represent himself and that he finally found peace. Some people pointed out she could be namjoon's anima. Anywho the song is beautiful and i've been in love with it since the moment namjoon sang it live during yoongi's concert. ☺💕

My interpretation is that he was in the right place but wrong person bc he was like trying to live in the expectations of the world but then when he saw that girl who was just as confused and desperate he decided to find her and at the end it shows that the girl was himself. Namjoon realizes now that he has to listen to his inner self to keep lone and know himself better. if he wants to remain burden-free and happy even in those situations. That's why the contrast in those scenes. Another constant theme is his change of clothes. He is always back to same comfy modern hanbok kinda dress when he's with the girl/himself. Also, something that I found really interesting is that Namjoon in front of that door is seeing her in red, blue and green. And that reminds of the lyrics of his song Closer! "I see you in red, blue, green". 👀

Trust our Bangtan leader to make a thought provoking and much discussed MVs. Director Lee Sungjin and Namjoon worked hard on the concept, and executed it well. One of the theories that I like is the multiverse ones. Just like the protagonist in the film "Everything, Everywhere, All At Once" who had to struggle to find ways to be content with herself and the state of her life, the Namjoon in the MV is also going through different versions of himself (or different stages of his life) to content with the current version (or stage) of himself. Ahhh Alex i'm so glad you're feeling better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's about not wanting to comply to societal expectations and self-acceptance, being content in the moment and his journey of self-discovery. RM asks himself to come back to him (mentally). The different scenes represent the different stages of life (past, present and future). He recognizes himself in the last girl. She feels lost, just as him (Lost is also the name of the title track of his album). RM always felt as an outsider that doesn't fit in (name of the album is Right place, wrong person) and this is represented in the first scenes where he's feeling lost, depressed, unhappy in every scenario. He tries to escape but the door doesn't want to open, it's locked. This represents his past. Then he meets the last girl and she reminds him of himself. She is like a female version of him and also represents his self-conscience. The girl feels also lost, just as him (at a certain point she's wandering around in the different rooms- you can see her go from one room to another in the hallway). When RM accepts the fact that he doesn't have to fit in and be just as anyone else (you don't have to be the anything you see, trying not to be that something in the sea), that it's okay to be his authentic self, he comes back to himself. Now he can be content in the moment (this represents the present). This is represented in the second half of the scenes where he feels happy in every scenario. When he talks about Spring, this represents new beginnings. Now that he has come back to him (came back by his senses), accepted himself and he can be content in the moment, he can open the door. The mazes of boxes/rooms and the path he's walking through represent his future. It can mean that he doesn't want to be put (categorized) in a box. He's walking through his life path (you see the rooms from the different scenes in the MV which represent the different stages in life). The maze of rooms represent the endless possibilities/opportunities the future has and the choices he will have to make (his search for what he wants to do on a professional and a personal level in the future - chapter 2?) and the different consequences/outcomes these choices will have. People also say the last girl may represent ARMY because she's wearing purple and the song has been dedicated to ARMY. ARMY helps him to accept himself so that he can come back to himself and stays by his side throughout his life (you see him walking through his life path and the girl is walking by his side) and she accepts him (will stay by his side) whatever the choices are he will make in the future.
