If you know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. He is continuously pushing boundaries. In way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario but still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

Look at this from Carl Gustav Jung's point of view. The masculine principle in his soul (Animus) meets the feminine (Anima), personality integration occurs (He, She, We) so he can relate in a more satisfactory way, but also frees himself from the need for this social fit, and continues his path with an integrated personality, free to make his own choices, in a broader and new universe.

I've heard that the music video takes inspiration from the book The Midnight Library, which is a book RM was vocal about having read a couple of years ago.

@u_u_u_u_u_u_u_ I haven't read the book, so I can't speak on it personally, but the person I saw post about it had and included a pretty compelling explanation/interpretation so 🤷‍♀️ I don't think it's meant to reenact the book, but I think there is a definite possibility of influence.

The award winning film maker asked to make this origionally presented ideas in line with what they thought RM wanted.. they were all rejected. After talking to RM he realised this was a real artist ... and this is the result a facinating mind teaser. 3 lights in the door traffic lights

fun fact: In an interview with the director he said, the stiches RM has in the MV are legit stiches he got during the filming of the MV.. clumsy RM strikes again!!!🤣🤣🤣 PS: No one is out from Military yet.. Jin will be the first to be out next month 12th.. this song is from Joon's new album Right Place Wrong Person to be released on 2'th May.. herecorded it before joining the military and is being released now!!!

Yes, our clumsy cutie (but also a trooper for getting right back to work after, lol; I'd have been in bed for the rest of the day)! Joon also talked a bit about it in his WeLive from 2023.11.14 and now we know what it was he was filming. If anyone missed that live, I'd highly recommend checking it out since he also talks a bit about the mv itself.

This is for a new album tilted Right Place, Wrong Person! There will be 5 MV from the album and apparently they may be connective stories

Sounds exciting can't wait!

I love this song. Reminds me of Childish Gambino's Redbone. I will tell you what I think as short as I can make it 😂 I think he is hopping between his past, present, and future. Or different versions of himself. The girl throwing things is not the same woman in the bathroom. So, in each version, he feels out of joint or like he doesn't quite fit. Hence, the sad undertone. The woman running around looking, too, represents his "authentic self" or the found self. Once he finds himself, he then fits. I like the idea that at the end, he leaves barefoot and can now enter the "inner sanctum" and feels at peace. He is enough. The title Right Place, Wrong Person, means he may have been in the right place, but he wasn't who he was meant to be yet. So until he finds himself, he will always be the wrong person. Hope that helps. Mwah 😘🫶🏻🫰🏻💜 P.s. He shot and recorded all the songs for his new album before he went into the military. 4 more mvs to come. Jin is the 1st one out in mid June 2024 Shot by Lee Sung Jin who directed Beef. Very interesting ideas went into this.

It’s interesting to me he captured such a cerebral MV that also feels soft easy emotional indie song. It’s such a perfect blend. So many layers of interpretation to make. Right place wrong person.

The writing at the end of the video was the title of his upcoming album--Right Place, Wrong Person--which will drop on May 24th. This is the album that he was working on through most of last year (and iirc the main reason he enlisted last December, instead of last spring as he'd originally planned). Come Back to Me is the pre-release single. RM actually performed it last August at Suga's final D-Day concert, so we've been eagerly anticipating its official release. Since YT hates links, I'll just type out some info from the release notice and promotions schedule. Album Description: "'Right Place, Wrong Person' is an 11-track album that captures some of the universal emotions that we all experience at some point in life, such as the feeling of being an outsider who doesn’t fit in. The album falls within the alternative genre, boasting a rich sound coupled with frank, honest lyrics." Never thought I would listen to a BTS song and think 'Hmm, sounds a bit like the So!Yoon! song 'Canada'.

They all have made things for when they are in the military this is from a new album he made for almost a year before he went in the military Jin is Back next month keeping us updated with many things and J Hope in October ! The other 5 in June next year 2025

Hi! good reaction 💜 I like to hear your perspective of the video, if I can say my interpretation, I would say that they are not memories, but different scenarios and paths in which you find yourself regarding your life, and from what we see at the beginning of the video is that in each scenario he did not feel good or confused, as you can say "right person in the wrong place", but once he finds his right person, he sees himself happy again in these scenarios, the door at the end can represent the freedom of not having to be in these scenarios or try to fit into one of these realities, as long as you feel that you are with the right person in the right place. A plus, I read a comment on Twitter that said that these scenarios were situations where society creates an expectation, whether in a meeting of friends, as in the family or in a courtship. The video is very well executed. And RM is a genius with everything he does so not a surprise that the song is so good. The entire Album was pre-recorded.
