I'm really excited about the AK-787 release today. Sitting here waiting to get my order in. May I suggest for the next car Psychedelic long-tail Porsche 917 (Hippie). No one else makes it and you already have the chassis. I'm about to start creating lots of content very soon.

@@EdisonRCWorkshop I really want a Psychedelic long-tail Porsche 917 (Hippie). When you do the 1/6 scale do not make it open wheel like the Limitless. All of the fastest limitless and Hobao's run a full body. The Toyota GT one or the Bugatti Bolide would be nice as well. Let me know if I can be of any help.

There's also a brushed RTR version.. I almost went for that one during pre-sale....🤔 I know myself & been upset not getting roller or alloy BL rtr 😂 mine arrived yesterday 👍🏾 great videos of ak917 are flooding KZread now!

Awesome glad you got yours! Yeah, I saw the brushed, but for the cost difference of the metal brushless I didn't think it was worth if it. I can always use the brushless electrics in something else. Thanks for watching.

I am buying this car in carbon fiber, but the AK-787 body w/active wing. Then I’m going to purchase the dual motor conversion from Rlaarlo, but before I do that, I want to do some research and figure out if I can do a dual motor setup using a castle setup for 6s-8s. 😂

I was thinking of doing a similar build. I know that the 6S 4274-size can will fit on the RLAARLO dual motor mount. I did test it. Now I think Castle does makes some 8S motors in a 6s can. Normal 8S motors will be too big. The rear upper suspension arms are weak. Swap them out with 2 front upper arms. Hope this helps and thank you for watching. 👍👍👍👍

@@grrfy Awesome! I'm still debating whether or not to enter the challenge. Trying to find the perfect road is tough. Making it fast isn't an issue. The problem is keeping it on the ground. Let me know what you end up doing to that thing.

Maybe Rlaarlo sent you a pre-production motor...lol! Thanks for the comparison review, very interesting to note the differences. The wheels are a bit narrower on the metal brushless version, and it doesn't rub against the rear wing support. Only the carbon fibre metal wheels rub.

lol I wouldn't be surprised about the motor being pre-production. It did come in a plain white box. I forgot that they do have some tire rub issues. Hopefully everyone is using foams. Thanks for watching.

I haven't taken my cars apart yet, but I saw in another video that someone took apart the Brushless metal version. The brushless stock motor that came in their car did have a flat side on the shaft. Might just be the optional motors that don't have it. I better whip out the grinder! Thanks for watching.

Sorry I meant 3M dual lock re-closable fastener. I think that is the correct name. Most people use it to hold their EZ pass on the windshield. Thanks for watching.

Can i install a fan on the metal version?

If you are talking about the RLAARLO fan that comes mounted to the body of the carbon version yes. You will need to cut the hole on the body of the metal version. If you just want to mount a fan directly on the motor, that wouldn't be an issue either. 👍👍👍

@@allscalerc Thanks. I have body of the carbon version i damaged it in a crash i’ve been looking for another body but it seems like they only sell the versions without the fans.
