Man, I forgot how epic Tight Eyez entire set was!! From the moment he peeped ole boy stole his move,threw the chair, getting on stage and banging that chain, going over to Tommy, to hitting that move the boy tried to steal the right way, ending with class by taking a bow,it was just too sick!! Rize was just so raw of a film, so many memorable moments and personalities! I'd love to see a follow up doc on everyone, I hope they're all doing well and their dancing took them to places they'd never dreamed of!!!

Im watching this in 2018 ready to cry I literally use to live for this it was so much genuine love back then in the black community well far as these 2 groups regardless to who won they showed love to each other and they packed out them shows I use to watch this back to back as a kid !!! & I swear life dancing & just enjoying everything ain't the same no more dog damn smh

These guys literally battled for their dance styles to stay alive. Those were dope asf times to see the birth of 2 art forms. Krump was just an off shoot of Clowning but when Tommy set up the Rize Battles, Krump pretty much made its own shine away from Clowning thus making Krump and Clowning 2 separate entities. Dope.

This is one of the best Edit dance battle i ever seen, last guys were just Exciting!

Changed so many lives... young tight eyez was super crazy

When Tight Eyez krump, and i was like, yeahhhhhhh go go go go, it was crazy, i love that battle

This is really amazing! There are those that would criticize these young people s' activity. However, it gave them the physical outlet they needed for the anguish many of them were suffering from traumatic family lives. This is WAAAAAY better than gang banging. Man, I wish this was big in Washington, DC. Maybe we would see less homicides. It's very sad.

I was about 16 years old when I watched this. My friend showed this to me in a residential home that we lived in. The one of the best documentaries that I watched, and I still watch these small videos throughout KZread because this video was a hit from when I was a struggled teenager through my days. This documentary is an inspiration to the world today, and what they are doing can change the world and make an impact of a brighter future of using battles to release anger than weapons and hands.
