You have no idea, read more who the investors behind Rivian, the ones who are paying for all this hemorrhaging industry .

Owned R1S for half year and 5000+ miles. As a previous owner of Mercedes, BMW, Tesla and Porsche vehicles. R1S is my favorite car among them, elegant design, good quality, very capable of handling all kinds of road condition. You can tell from their software upgrades that they really care about their owners and listen to their owners. There are still pain points like lack of their own charging network(But you can use tesla super charger soon), lack of enough service center, minor software bugs. But given the stage of the company I would say what they are able to accomplish is very impressive.

The R1T is a joy to drive every day. It’s extremely well designed. The function and layout makes it extremely easy to adapt to as a first time EV owner. The gear tunnel is the best thing ever if you’re taking the family fishing or to the beach!

Very humble and likable unlike other EV CEO. I would actualy consider buying this.

Look, RJ is great and I give him so much respect for not being like every other selfish CEO like Lucid…paying himself close to half a billion while loosing billions. I love Rivian but where they went wrong is making a vehicle this is 80-100k. Most people are not going to spend that kind of money! Not saying the vehicle isn’t worth it but they have to get the price around 40-60k on this next or newer vehicles

I’ve seen some rivians around. They actually look very unique and elegant. I’d be interested to see what is R2 going to be like? And will the big money investors continue to keep them afloat when sales slow during this economic slump? Tesla made it through recession early in its life and electric vehicles are much more popular now, so I do believe it’s feasible. That being said, part of how tesla survived was because elon musk. People believed in him. Anyway, wish i could pick the brain of genius businessman to help me grow my business.

Seeing recent articles about the 'EV Fad?' are comical and clickbait. I suspect when the Model T's rolled out and people saw them breaking down, being pulled out of the mud by horses, etc... many suspected cars were doomed - horse and buggy forever. This slow down is a blip. I added to my small RIVN position when it hit $15 this week. I'll probably add more if it drops further.

I drove a Rivian SUV today, R1-S , a super unit.

America is truly a blessed land to have people like these and immigrants like Musk. Besides China and US, no such entrepreneurship exists today. (that may change though)

Rivian is a great company--love my R1T.

I have 3 questions #1 what will be there profit margin be and #2 when will they make a sedan? And #3 can/will they partner with the evil genius to mimic his design/manufacturing technology?

I've owned an R1T for almost 2 years....I would drive this thing if it was GAS or EV.... So even as people get sick of EV, this truck's features overcome that. Ton of storage space (other than the bed) , flexibility of having a TRUCK, Race Car, Off-Road and On-roan capabilites... There is no Vehicle as flexible as the R1T. It does it all... To get a similar Range Rover , you're looking at paying twice the price at $150k. The R1T starts at 70 and tops out at 100k... at that price point it competes with both regular SUV/Trucks and super expensive SUV and Trucks.

Just added an extra 2000 shares, R2 will be a game changer for Rivian reach, profibality road. I hope the stock keep stsy at 15$

I'm diamond-handing RIVN because the make good cars but they're gonna have a demand problem in 2024. They often like to boast their reservation number but at the end of the day they're just that, reservation. Everything is gonna hinge on their R2 platform and so far we still haven't seen an official prototype for a R2 platform yet. And even by some miracle they get the R2 production started in Q1 2025, they won't fully ramp up production until Q3 2025, and the baseline model (the one that most people want) won't deliver until Q2 2026. And that's assuming that their production schedule going off without a hitch, strong economy, limited competition from Tesla and traditional OEMs, them being able to drastically reduce loss per vehicle, robust cash reserve, etc,... and to be honest, that's a lot of stars needed to align. Best of luck to them but I'm not feeling optimistic (for context they only managed to deliver 50,122 vehicles in 2023. They should be delivering this figure 2 years ago).

The car is incredible but the front end is easily the worst part of it. They need to stop holding to this. Those headlights are awful.

I like Rivian and think RJ is brilliant!

When you are ten blocks away you can tell it's a Rivian. They said the same thing when the Edsel came out!

Ok, just to balance things in the comments section here: I own a Rivian R1T. It is OK, kind of cool in many ways, but it is a new product and I’ve experienced some of their growing pains and poor build quality and many glitches that don’t seem to repeat to a point where they are diagnosable. My biggest issue is that it is Electric! The charging times, the temper mental efficiency (wind, too hot/cold ambient temps, road conditions), not too mention I rarely charge to 100%, which means my range is always less than advertised. I charge to less than 100% to take care of the battery, don’t have the patience to wait another 30 min to go from 80-100%. I’m not a fan! I which I would have kept my 2017 BMW X5, much better vehicle! The “chargers something like this up to 80% in 20-25 minutes” comment needs to have the caveat of if everything works perfectly, which rarely does!

Yeah, exactly. I do 99% of my charging at home. It's easy and seamless, like plugging in my phone. I wake up with a full charge, and never have to stop for gas. Has tons of range for daily driving. The DC fast charging is only for road trips, so that depends on your lifestyle but for me, I fly the 1-2 times per year I travel and then rent a car or rideshare/public transit when I arrive. @@iamalmostanonymous

@@martina5328 how many NIO battery swap stations are there in the US? My point was simply, EVs have a long way to go in the areas I’ve pointed out. Just my opinion: at this day and age we should be making huge leaps forward. EVs compared to ICE vehicles, it just seems that we took 3 steps forward and then 2 to 4 steps back depending on what areas you compare of the functionality of a vehicle. At this moment, my assessment of my decision to purchase the R1T is that I regret it! I’m also glad people love the truck, to each their own!

Personally, I think this is a false rally that is too low volume. We are ready to drop one drop, one drop at a time finished, then we will have one of the biggest short squeezes you've ever seen. It's not 2008 fall, still at least, a big accident is going on come later. I'm only aiming for short-term stability gains from a market correction and I would definitely If T knew a thing or two about jumping into a boat day trading. I'm just looking for the right moves Growing and hedging my $470k stagnant stock from inflation.

Well, more reasons to enjoy my day I am guided by market decisions portfolio-coach, seeing that they are all skill sets are built in the long and short term employs both at the same time profit oriented strategy and reduce risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward trends along with exclusive data/analysis, it's completely impossible not to excel. I've mixed up investment coaches and yes, they can have a positive impact on an individual's portfolio, but do your due diligence to find a bold coach that can withstand the crash of 08. For me olivia been better and smarter than any consultant I have ever worked with, I have never met anyone so confident.

I think you don't get it. We own two Teslas. By far, the best cars we ever had. In every way (safety, features, performance, convenience, near zero maintenance cost, super low operation cost). I can't remember last time I went to a supercharger. I charge at home. I could not imagine going back to a noisy, slow, underfeatured ICE car that on top of being inferior in basically every way, I have to stop every week, at a smelly, pricey gas station in order to continue driving it.

the brands smartest move to date has been copying range rover lol.

Except for NIO, where you can swap the whole battery in no time. (And you get the best EV out there combined with the best value for money).

Even though I'm an ICE guy and not EV at all, I do think these are less ridiculous than the Cybertruck. What I don't understand at all is the front! It's so weak and wimpy looking, and I think they really blew a chance to appeal to truck buyers with a more aggressively styled front. Instead it looks like a toy.

The Rivian customer is not a truck person. The Rivian customer is an affluent, city person who likes to camp/hike or go off-roading. People who drive trucks for work and want to buy an EV will get the F-150 lightning. Annoying people who buy trucks for no reason are generally conservative and don't yet want to buy an EV. Additionally, vehicle design has been getting angrier and angrier, and the pendulum inevitably swings in the opposite direction.

Yes, it is ugly as hel.. Compare it to NIO, and you get battery swap option, and the best quality EV that is out there. And you get the most car per currency spent.

Works better than a brake; it brings your car to a smooth stop every time, and is frictionless, so there are no brake pads to need to be replaced. The sooner you start thinking with your brain and you get on the EV train, the sooner we can compete with China and not have thousands of job losses from the big three

Once pedal driving is far better than traditional: easier, less jerky, brakes last forever. Plus if you want to coast in the highway like grandma, all you need to to is enable autopilot.

You have no clue. Teslas are junk. Rust problems, no battery swap, crappy technlogy and sensors. Compare it ti NIO, an EV with battery swap. Swap in a fully charged battery on a couple of minutes. There are lots of advantages with that.

The next improvement on Tesla is NIO with battery swap. You roll in, swap the battery to a charged one, and roll out. The quality and design is way better than Tesla.

Comments below saying rivian will eventually be profitable is just plain wrong… rivian has never said they’ll be profitable. Per the 2Q23 conf call, CEO RJ Scaringe only said he wants to continue " . . . driving costs down across the business on our path to profitability." Analysts kept asking but when actual profits. Rivian deceptively kept repeating they would have a "gross profit." Which means profit before expenses. Which is meaningless. Which means continued losses until bankruptcy announced
