Riverside Solo Camping | Heavy Rain, Campfire & Natural Jacuzzi | Kenaboi State Park, Jelebu
Solo camping by a pristine river in Kenaboi State Park (Taman Alam Liar Negeri Kenaboi), which is tucked away in the hilly and remote district of Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.
Forester's first time at river crossing, heavy rain and a near encounter with 'Kepala Air', chill time with campfire, and spa time at a natural jacuzzi.
Credits to Patrick the cool and kind camp neighbour for the drone footage!

Hi, it's my utmost pleasure to share these beautiful places. You're most welcome to Malaysia to explore our rainforests and rivers and mountains (and mosquitoes and leeches too. haha)! With a 2 wheel drive, might have to be picky on the locations. Or else it might be an expensive lesson!

Cool spot. Looks simple but it takes guts to camp alone overnight.

@@JunOutdoors That's a good outdoor principle. To keep the area as natural looking as possible. Stripping/cutting branches from standing or fallen trees (fallen trees are home to insects and provide nutrients back to soil thru decompositions) will degrade natural appearance over time. The best way to enjoy nature is leave no trace with minimal impact.
I really wanna go camping, but i dont have a friend that love the same passion. But looking at your vid, i think i might do one myself.

Yo Jun. Check out for Quechua 2p 100mh tent. Available in Decathlon. I tested the tent already to a trip in Kuantan by the beach. I went through a rather long night (a typhoon passed us thru) but the tent was good. no leaking etc. just MYR 150.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestion. I have camped with a friend who has the same tent too and I do agree with you, it's a really good tent! I bought a somewhat similar tent few years back in Decathlon India too and it served me well on my backpacking trips all over India!

Good afternoon Jun. Another relaxing video, which I very much enjoyed. However, when I watch all of these videos I am left wanting to know more about what I am seeing. Perhaps you could answer a few of these questions? 1. After you setup your campsite you lit a small circular disk which intrigued me greatly. Was that some form of incense burner? 2. Your cinematography is excellent. Can you please tell me what camera you use? It must be waterproof or has a waterproof case. 3. I’m still intrigued to know what you do for your living. I’m guessing that you are a Lawyer or an Accountant. Are you able to clarify what your occupation is? And, after all of the questions thank you for your presentation. Kind regards Alan

Hello Alan. Thanks again for dropping another lovely comment. 1. That is a mosquito repellent coil that wards off mosquitoes. 2. The camera I used in this particular video is a GoPro Hero 7 Black action camera, which is waterproof. In my newer videos, I use Sony ZVe10. 3. Actually I would prefer not to disclose that :) Cheers!

Another very nice vlog, great sharing, Thank You !! U started with soaking wet of sweat, is it bcoz of hot weather ? Since u love to camp near river/stream, very sure u should hv know the early warning sign of kepala air ? Just curious, by doing outdoor activities solo(especially lady like u), hv u ever been 'kacau' b4 both by human n those jungle spirit ???
@JunOutdoors
3 жыл бұрын
Started with a bucket of sweat as I had to set up camp in the blazing afternoon sun at 1pm. Haha. I personally have not encountered a real kepala air before, but am aware of the warning signs and what to look out for when choosing a campspot. Of course, still learning from videos and people who have experienced it. Mother nature is powerful. Tak pernah dikacau as of today. But I always 'mintak izin' in my heart everywhere I go :)

@@JunOutdoors As of kepala air(think u already know) but still wanted to share if it's benefitial to u The very first warning sign is (if u peka or aware while having a dip) : (1)the current started to sweep-up the sand, u can easily see it as the water still very clear, moment later (2)lots of dead leaves/rubbish coming from up stream, by this time if u didn't get out from the water, very2 soon (3) the strong n terrible 'teh tarik' going to whack havoc where the water level would be rising extreme fast From (1) to (3) only about 4-5 minutes. Witness such phenomenal twice n almost lost my youngest son but Thanks God, nothing bad happen While happily enjoying our holiday, please be alert at the same time Chinese got one saying : bully mountain but never bully water
