Those Karen’s coming for y’all are just the keyboard warriors that never leave their home.. I want to thank y’all soooo much for these reviews!! My husband and I have been coming to the mountains every December with our 2 little girls the last 3 years (since they were born.) We’re making it an annual tradition. We all love your videos. My little girls love to see y’all’s girls having fun & can’t wait to go do the same activities. It’s review videos like this one that I so appreciate for keeping my family safe. We can only see the pics online that places like this post then drive 6 hours just to be fooled! You guys rock for not only showing us the great places in the Smokies but also the places to “not get got” by lol. Those of us that are putting a lot into coming there need these videos of places to go & places to not waste time/money on. So definitely marking this place off our list of places to stay.

Dollar Tree Crib! 🤣🤣 LOL Keegan! Love Dustin's "Wow" from a previous video. 😆I would not want to stay there. Don't you just love it when it says no smoking and there are burns in the bedding?? You would think if they couldn't bleach stains out of the blankets, they would replace them. Clearly the bathroom vanity had not been cleaned. I am with Brittany and Dustin...Wow.

Thanks for the review. I love that y’all give ur honest reviews. I know I’m not the only one that y’all have saved money for, U have shown some places, I didn’t even know about, now I gotta try them out. I feel like y’all are family. My aunt would have been back in that office demanding a refund. Idk why they would use those blankets, being so stained. By a spoon being there, I’m sure the fridge wasn’t even wiped out. I just got back from Pigeon Forge and stayed at Country Cascades and it was phenomenal. Rooms were super clean (at the new tower) and the pool, slides and water activities were awesome. That phone looks like one of those phones Hasidic Jews and other very devout Jewish people would use on the Sabbath. They can't press buttons but they can use a specially made stick to bridge the connections on a phone to dial.

I can remember being a kid and waiting in Belz Mall traffic and looking over at that pool wanting nothing more than to slide! You’ll love the Appy. It’s our Go-To anytime we’re in the area without the camper. They’re wonderful and the hotel is always top notch on cleanliness!

This is why we stay at cabins, people just don't keep their properties up, Brittany you are 💯 right on, we stayed at the Bearskin Lodge one time and it was the cleanest we had stayed, but for the money we just get a cabin

Stayed there several times as a kid in the 80s for the outdoor pool. I scraped up my knees really bad from that rough water slide (not sure if it’s been smoothed out over the years or not.) But it hurt like heck for days and mom said, “Never going back there again.” I remember it was always a popular place to stay because it was on the road that took you to Silver Dollar City. Looks like ZERO effort has been put in the rooms in 30 years. Just a new “lodge-like” facade on the exterior. On a brighter note: Dustin makes for a pretty funny meme!

I could see that happening the slide I think has been smoothed down but it’s still so rough lol and walking up the slide on concrete with no grip and it’s wet I thought for sure we were going to fall

We stayed there over 17 years ago & it was nice. We haven't stayed recently because we saw bad reviews. Thanks for showing us how bad it has gotten. If I had a few million bucks I would buy & remodel it! Thanks for great video! You guys should maybe stay at Brookside Resort in Gatlinburg sometime! Now that's a nice place!

@@SmokyMountainFamily We stayed at Brookside last August. The two outdoor pools, jacuzzi and balconies by the river are great! Not every room is on the river but most are. We also saw it on Hotel Impossible too! We miss that show!

I love y'all's content I absolutely love the intros each one of them you change they're awesome I'm just wanted to say I love y'all as a family y'all are so awesome I watch A few other vloggers from the area JB and hills is one of them forever Fridays and on occasion once in a blue moon I'll watch Yankee from the south but I love y'all's content and your girls are so well behaved and respectful and I don't see that much these days!

I would say it was about 10 years ago we stayed at Riverchase Hotel. We always stayed in Gatlinburg but thought this place looked cool. Heard it was remodel but apparently it was only remodel on the outside. We were so disappointed! The rooms were dirty! Can't believe after 10 years they haven't try to remodel the rooms either!

We met Jeff and Miss Marie, Joshie and also Jeff and Tootsie Camping. They are all such good and genuine people. WOW WOW WOW. Nope no way would I stay somewhere like this. Although the water slide looks fun that pool was not clean. So sorry your experience here wasnt good. I agree with you all. Of someone would buy this place and totally redo it could be awesome. For a tourist attraction such as Galtinburg/ Pigeon Forge the Hotels/ Motels / Resorts should always be nice. Thank you for this review 💕

It is true....as much as it is fun and beautiful in the Smokies, you have to be very careful where you stay.....watch the ratings, who owns the hotels, read the opinions, actually some of the nicest hotels I've stayed in are owned Independently, one I really like in Treasure Island Florida and of course Riverhouse....maid service needs updated in a lot of them....everywhere!

I wasn’t sure where to do a suggestion, but my friend owns and runs Charlie Bears Putt Putt in Townsend and would love for you to go try it out! He’s a local guy and the exposure would be awesome for him! More on topic there are allot of nasty hotels throughout PF and I wish the city would start cracking down on these slums! Those should be few and far between up there for what they charge! Love the channel!!

We are headed there next weekend. This with be our sixth year staying there. We have started doing the deal when they include Soaky Mountain with your stay. They only do it at certain parts of the summer. My girls all love it, and my husband loves it, because everything is right there. It is worth the money. The rooms are nice too.

This was like our room last month at mountain vista inn in Pigeon Forge lol

A few years back we were going to stay there. I walked in and asked to look at a room. Immediately left and went somewhere else I’m so glad y’all didn’t stay there! It made me cringe. As my kids would say “That’s a trap house “ 🤣🤣

We stayed there a couple of years ago for 3 nights....like y'all, my husband got pulled in by the remodeled outside and the pool for our granddaughter...the room? Oh, hell no....never again.....I didn't sleep those 3 nights...was so happy to get the hell away from that nasty place...I honestly don't know how it stays open...I'd rather sleep with the bears...😁

Stayed there one night as a kid. We had a fun time and good sleep. The cabiny feel to the rooms was cute and fun. But I heard it’s a total dump now, the water slides are falling apart, and the staff is rude. We would have had stayed there around 2009 maybe? And it seems like they haven’t update anything since then, nearly 15 years ago. Also, if anyone reads this: do not stay at the Comfort Inn at Dollywood Lane. Over-priced, rock-hard beds, and over-run with bedbugs!!!! My daughter was bitten up so bad from bedbugs after sleeping in one of the beds that we left, booked a room down at the Super 8 and had a great stay there.

Riverchase has really gone down hill. We stayed there around 25 years ago and it was very nice and clean. Bummer!

This is worse than ANY hotel I've ever attempted to stay at... and that's including the room with the roach. I don't give a crap on what the price "WAS" vs "what you got it for"... That room is unacceptable. Outdated is one thing... Filth and rundown is another. Loved the Dustin "wows" and the sad Bob face. :)

That place always looked sketchy back years ago. Soon as I saw that’s where you guys were staying I said OMG! Never stayed there never had a desire to. Always looked like it was under construction. Piece milled together. Remember it from 30 some years ago.

Yes, that hotel is nasty! 🤮. We stayed there one time several years ago and it was nasty then! ( we left too). I don’t how they stay in business, it needs to be shut down by the health department or like you said have someone take over and make it awesome! That’s how they get people in there with the slide and pool!

Omg that is gross! No reason to not get everything clean (and get NEW blankets) when you are charging $100 per night per room...or more! This is one reason we don't do hotels. So glad you all show places before people pay for something like that. Don't blame you for not wanting to stay.

I went there last year it was awful the first room they gave us went to the room and there was a whole in the outside wall where the air conditioning was supposed to be so i went back to get anouther room the gave us another one it was filthey worse then yalls room and worse the carpet was wet they gave us no other room and no refunds so i had to tough it out the bed had huge stains some looked like blood and no daily room service in the 3 nights they never came to clean. So idoubt they do between stays.and i went to the indoor pool and i walked around in it and looked do and my foot prints was left in some kind of green junk in the bottom completely gross. I highly recommend mountain breeze its older but clean and kept up no stains smells nice and dry carpet pool is great and great people.

I have to apologize for how hysterically I was laughing at your expense! Between the "wow" and the "Dollar Tree crib" comment, I was rolling! It is sad that they can't put in some elbow grease and clean that place up! You should have told them to put the $ they kept from you to good use! Buy a toilet paper tube, a picture frame, some Clorox and a couple of bed spreads. Maybe the next people who check in will stay! We went to a place that smelled like strong amonia (Probably to mask the mold smell) we started choking from the smell! We saw an iron burn in the carpet, we said the cleaning lady probably passed out with an iron in her hand! We left with no refund as well. It is sad when that happens, places that operate like that truly victimize their customers!

I know that’s right Lisa like maybe use any money towards even fixing one room then moving onto a couple more it’s frustrating because you could see the potential but I don’t think the owners care

I wish they would renovate that place. nobody needs to stay there. The water looked brown and that’s just gonna come back on them later. I’ve always wanted to stay there as a kid but we stayed at Toni inn I haven’t been there in years but it was awesome there was an indoor pool and it was a good family vacation stay. I always wanted to do that waterslide too but now I don’t.

Gross, that brings back memories of a hotel we stopped at going to California and the sheets and blankets on the beds hadn't been changed and we left and found another hotel. They ought to refund your money. I wouldn't want to stay there it that was me. Cool slide tho!

Right now not worth staying, unless they do a huge upgrade cleaning and remodeling the place. Even the water slide, I wouldn’t go down it unless it was cleaned as well. Huge improvements do need to be made. My opinion on that one.

In the future if your looking for a perfect hotel, check it out, research and go through the entire room checking for every little mistake or error, before purchasing the room. Now these days, hotels/motels are not exactly perfect. There are flaws here and there, not to mention bed bugs for example. Or it could be a broken toilet seat, or a leaky facet another example there. Or a broken bed spring, to a leaky roof for example. To several stains on the floor to hair in a vent. It’ll like being on the Addams family.

We did and then asked for another room basically we knew we were going to not sleep here after checking out the first room but have wanted to go down that pool FOREVER now so just chalked it up

Wow! bad news. In one of our trips through the area we stayed a few nights at the Oak tree lodge in Sevierville and the place was amazing. Do your homework! Money dont grow on trees.

Love love love them!!! And their breakfast is actually decent. I miss tennessee so much. I'd move down there in a heartbeat if my husband said yes. Maybe one day....

Be sure to stay at the River's landing building. It has the king size beds

Yes we always do Rivers Landing if we’re able to! Bigger beds and it’s quieter on that side.

I've stayed in $59 rooms that were super outdated but way cleaner than that mess !

It's unbelievable I was shocked..Thanks for always giving us the up-front truth it's appreciated...Because that room right their is disgusting and would ruin anyone vacation...

We didn’t get a refund we told them it wasn’t a good fit they said we couldn’t get our money back which is fine we did use the pool

Hey sweet Family!! Sorry u didn't get the money back. I don't understand why a place would or should be that ran down. So many ppl visit so it's like the owners have just pocket the money and just let the place go. I agree, someone needs to fix it up. It's been a minute, we will be down in June for a week. Just me n the Hubs , my GD, Anna and I are visiting in August or September, she wants to go Horseback riding, so we are gonna tackle that, she has picked out a place on WVR that has a petting zoo, not sure if it's the same place y'all went or not, she showed me y'all's video at the petting zoo, the other day. That poor girl has been going through so much since her mom n dad gotten a divorce and her mom moved someone in and got remarried, so she understands so she has been the one to suffer from such. I understand ppl are adults and live their own life's, but kids matter, all that happen in less than a yr. Anyway getting personal, maybe we will see y'all when we are there, we will be there June 19-26, Good Lord Willing!!. God Bless!!

No you are not bougie. Even if it’s a $100 hotel, it still should be clean, and things should be a certain way. I too have been in plenty of hotels less than a $100 a night and the hotel was clean and nowhere near like that hotel. That’s just gross. The owners clearly don’t care 🤦🏾‍♀️.

Riverhouse hotel is cheaper then this and our favorite hotel so that’s not necessarily true

My goodness - This place was rough. Thanks for showcasing this place. There should be a disclaimer that hotel patrons should be up to date on getting a tetanus shot prior to staying here. We kept laughing at the Dustin cameos because he described this motel perfectly, “Wow!”
