Nicely freakin' done! Im a trout fishing enthousiast here in iowa, but I dont catch too many on lipless cranks. We have a small trout area in North East iowa, called the driftless area, and I love nothing more than a clear morning on a trout stream. Nice job on your fish, just seeing you catch that brookie makes me happy. If you want to make another river bank vid, id like to see you make a long jerkbait.

The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight kzread.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

I love trout! Trout is the only freshwater species that I sometimes keep for dinner. Otherwise, I usually practice catch and release. My favorite way of preparing trout is first scaling it, gutting it, then just pan-fry with some oil, salt, and pepper. I think about 4 min on each side works pretty good, just make sure the meatier parts of the fish (like the back) get cooked thoroughly before consuming. Oh, and I almost forgot. Sprinkle some lemon on there🍋 You’ll know you cooked it right if the meat cleanly separates from the bones when you start chowing down😄
