Or simply he wanted to free Mikasa from the attschment. I read somewhere that Isayama did this to make Mikasa stronger and more independent.

I'll have to try to remember to look for that scene next time I watch the episode. That should give me more context. But just off the top of my head, my guess is that the look is because Levi knows the gloomy brat, as he sometimes calls her (😄), has a habit of going rogue, getting reckless, and disobeying orders-any time she gets too worried about Eren's wellbeing. I think he's giving that stare because he knows they'll probably have to keep an eye on Mikasa for that again. He's probably also hoping (wearily and skeptically, lol) that she'll stay properly focused on the mission objectives instead and not make him or someone else intervene again to rein her in. He may also be thinking of Eren some, and hoping the boy comes through when it comes to his part of the operation. It looks like Eren has already transformed recently, judging from those marks around his eyes, so Levi may be concerned-and rightly so-about how much additional strain Eren will be able to take right now. Like I said, just my guesses, especially as I don't specifically recall what was going on in that particular scene.
