It's crazy how unique the fighters in this game feel to play compared to each other. This game clearly isn't just a super smash brothers clone. It's a super smash brothers inspired work of art with passion as its brush. :}

Keashon Harris Well she’s kinda like a fire character since she has some fire elements, and I count shovel knight as earth since one of his specials is a dirt block, plus metal is a type of rock, those two and the lightning goat who’s name I can’t remember is why I said to a certain extent, since THEY ARE SO CONFUSING TO CATEGORIZE TwT

I personally love that Ori is in the game, not only because it's legitimately my favorite game of all time, but also because Ori and the Blind Forest doesn't get talked about NEARLY enough for the gem that it is. SHOVEL KNIGHT on the other hand has been in way too many games. And honestly, people already knew about shovel knight, it didn't really need more recognition like Ori.

@@No_Sleepee Hey, people wanted every DLC character that got added to Smash 4 except for Corrin, and even then Corrin's the only FE character that has come through DLC and is one of the most unique FE characters in the roster (second to Robin). People want _a lot_ of characters to be added to Smash, and you can't expect them all to be added already.

It’s hardly a homage, it’s its own property at this point. The gameplay may be melee-inspired, but the game has its unique qualities that make platform fighters a genre rather than just Smash.

HOW HAVE I ONLY JUST KNOW FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS GAME!

I love how all characters in this game are so unique and each one has an entirely different fighting style

You are the first person, I think, to ever join Rivals based on the strength of its lore.

Best use of guest characters ever. They actually use all of their original abilities from their own games. Plus I love the designs of these creatures, though the pacifistic frog was a little too subtle being a pacifist, monk and using poison instead of beads. I love the art style, you can't make that serious it will always be cute! especially the in game spite animation. Cute goat C3 love the pink hair and tail, nice color choice it's unusual and stand out very much but not over the top

Y E S. It would be my second main along with Clairen for sure. Also, the fuck? You guys know Amaterasu can be considered a semi-furry (animal with human thought process and/or mannerisms, or at least that do human actions consistently, like swinging a sword, doing coplex tasks and freaking painting), right? Or at least a feral? (exatly what it sounds) She's technically been part of the fandom since day one. Also, I call bullshit on Clairen being a copy of HLD. I absolutely adore the way they presented good'ol Shovel. That animation was PERFECT. If they had his dialogue, that would've been hilarious. "I know not where you came from nor your intentions, but as defender of these lands, I shall not let your amphibian invasion come to pass!" Or something like that. XD

@@kingping3555 ok ok well at about 9:18 ranno is featured and quoted as "the poisonous pacifist." Pacifist means someone who is against violence and such. If he is a pacifist he wouldn't be involved in all this fighting. That's the joke for being a pacifist he is quite violent.

Shovel Knight's cool at all, but him of all characters? Everyone else fits in because they're animals and have some element/unique thing, but Shovel Knight is a normal human (compared to everyone else already in)

I think its because his game is pixelated too, so his sprite fits rather well. Have a well known pixel knight in a growing pixel fighting game. Plus, we dont know if he is truly human. Never seen him without his armor.

I can't help but to feel bad for Elliana right now, love the game and characters tho!

Wow. All they are missing is a character that uses the darkness element and they would have all the elements in the game since Ori covers light.

@@reverseghostsssgaming4754 that's just a taunt for now. Shovel Knight's true identity it's still unknown (and probably will ever be unknown)

On one hand I'm impressed by the original characters And on the other all I'm thinking is: *FUCKIN' FURRIES* also why do all indie crossovers never include hollow knight?

because they only allow animals for the most part.

I love how overtime the characters became more detailed and the older characters were left being like 2 colors with no details
