Dude I literally had this conversation with my friends after I heard this album. I said if they came out in the 70's or something like that they would already be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame....what a tremendous rock album for the world to hear

Amazing band. If you love rock from the 70's, 80's. Finding this band is like finding gold

Rival Sons are sitting on the rock n roll throne today and for years now. They re just my pick nobody sounds so mature and modern at the same time. They re just ahead of the curve!

@@sayleaiam Greta van fleet are cool but they getting a lot pushed from the media. To me greta van fleet sound like they re stuck in the 70s and still try to sound like the mighty Zep. The approach of Rival Sons is that their sound and songs sound modern and basically ''honest'' rather than try to sound just like another band stuck in the 70s sound. So beside from the maturity of their songs thats the reason why I believe they stand out from the rest of the rock n roll scene out there because they have a honest approach!

It's the USA's iHeart radio national 'NO' playlist. RIVAL SONS are Kicking ASSS all over the planet but Closed Airwaves in the USA, thanks to 'bought radio'! Sellout concerts from South America to ALL of Europe and the Orient.. however, radio is now singly owned and what is heard in Chicago, Dallas, OKC or LA is on their playlist, from satellite to all owned "subscriber' stations. Gotta go overseas to get the real deal now..

⁠@@dancingdays1382I am not trying to come off hostile but idk how else to put this, you either have not listened to a very large amount of GVF, or Led Zeppelin. I would imagine it’s GVF. Yeah, a few of their songs sound Zeppy but not to extent that it’s a problem, unless you don’t like Led Zeppelin that much. But seriously, almost all of their songs have their own sound and yeah you can compare their songs to other band’s sounds but you can do that with literally any band. I’m not saying you have to like Greta Van Fleet, and I’m a big fan of their’s, but undercutting their work by saying they are stuck mimicking Led Zeppelin’s sound is just wrong man. I’m a massive fan of both bands, literally my favorite bands and they have their similarities of course but they are both their own thing.

Dear lord, you guys did not have to go this fucking hard on this album! Every track so far has felt like an absolute gut punch, and they all fit so cleanly together thematically. I haven’t been this excited for an album in years

Feral roots to me was really hard to top. This is great music they put out like the vibe the theme, drums guitar vocals bass keys they are Uber talented.

wow a heavy psychedelic vibes here. It will be a totally great record. four songs so far, all good ones. two full albums in one year by them, lovely too much.

@@ledzeppelinfan1001 My buddy turned me on to them like 2018 maybe, so am a fairly new fan. When I saw they were on Letterman I was like how did I miss these guys. I’ve seen them twice. Once was a small club and I was blown away. With covid, I haven’t wanted to be in a big crowd so didn’t go last time they were close. I’m not sure I see an album every two years (7 albums in 14 year average) as slow but I guess one every year would be better lol.

Rival Sons has been so great since the beginning that band should be filling out stadiums. Can't really see why they haven't hit stadium levels worldwide already.

I'll never forget this day...

I wasn't prepared for that. Such a thick sound and so refreshing with the harmonies and the acoustic sections. It feels a bit like something Blind Guardian would have made, but the amazing thing is that it's still 100% Rival Sons.

Oh my effing God! What have I just heard?!! This is epic in every single way. Very heavy, psychedelic and has you hooked all the way. Can't wait to hear this one live! Can imagine a lot of crowd participation screaming our lungs out "am i closer to heaven or closer to hell". Rival Sons continually raise the bar when you think they hit close to perfection in every album that comes out! This is why they are my number one band! ❤

In addition to each band member's own stellar musicianship, and their cohesion after so many years together, the complexity and UNIQUENESS of each of their songs is what impresses me. Very few of them (in their entire catalog!!) sound alike. The creativity that continues to flow from them is jaw dropping. In an earlier era, theses tunes would be generational songs. GWV and P&T, especially, would've been Zoso.

Seeing them on Sept. 2 in Toronto!!!!!!! I am blessed and closer to heaven.

Love that guitar in this song.

This might be my favorite RS song already. Such a daring, experimental, yet powerful offering. This album is shaping up to be my favorite. RS was always best when they dared to be subversive imo. They have enough simple-riff bangers by now, I love the experimentation.

Wish I was closer to Denver, Colorado so I can see then play with the black angels and starcrawler.

Although Feral Roots was a banger, this will be the Sons best record since P&T or GWV. The serious, heavy nature of it mixed with how f****** in-tune with eachother they've become on this record is incredible. Hollow Bones seemed like it was missing something, maybe they just simply hadn't fully grasped the sound they've been trying to form with Dave, but it was the experimental stone path that led to Feral Roots, and Feral Roots led us to this masterpiece. What a journey this has been. I am beyond impressed an despite spending way too much money on concert tickets already this year, I just might have to compromise on a plane ticket to see this tour as they wont come anywhere near Atlantic Canada for some reason.
