Install instructions state it's plug and play if the machine has vts already installed. The rxtx300 comes with vts from the factory correct?

Need an installation video for 2017 RXT-X300, the link on the install video here is 3 years old, the installation is not simple and the instructions are not really that great, can you have pictures of the final unit mounted? Does the unit base mount to the negative battery terminal? If yes why not provide a longer battery bolt, this install was big balls, help!

Will the maptuner allow you to remove the speed limiter all together, not just to 75? Also, is there a way to toggle the limiter on/off to control the speed for different drivers? Does the install require any permanent modifications to machine? I don't want anyone without an educated eye to be able to see this is there.

The Maptuner will completely remove the top speed limiter. Top speed will be determined by level of modification after Maptuner reflash. You can review all modification options on our performance kits department: rivaracing.com/performancekits There is no functionality within the Speed Control Override Module to toggle top speed limiter on and off. Most Sea-Doo craft are equipped with a low speed learning key that will still function with Module installed. No permanent modifications are required when installing Speed Control Override Module.

Hello, I am buying a 16 rxpx 300 hp, is this product run the ski at any unsafe performance levels. Or is it designed for it , just restricted for the US? Also is the GPS feature give any downloadable information? Thanks

+burton 2202 Congratulations on your new 2016 RXPX 300! No it does not run the ski at an unsafe performance level. Correct, it removes GPS controlled speed limiter. No downloadable information. You may use a MaptunerX device to download that information from your ECU. Contact tech_support@rivamotorsports.com for more info

No we don't, but we do offer our MaptunerX tuning system for the Sea-Doo GTR 230

can this work on a 2019 Sea Doo GTX 155? or does it only work on supercharged models?

The SCOM will not work on your GTX 155. The reason being is that you won't see any performance gain from the machine. With the 300 models there's enough horsepower & speed to warrant having limiters on those boats, so installing the scom can improve performance on those particular models.

From the RIVA Instruction Library: Sport Mode ‘Start Up’ Feature: Installation of S.C.O.M. enables you to switch your craft to SPORT MODE before starting engine. Press START/STOP button to power up Dash Display. Press SPORT button on Left Hand Handle switch for 3 seconds. In RXP and GTX models the SPORT indicator will illuminate in the multifunction gauge. On RXT-X models the Sport Mode indicator light will illuminate in the tachometer. Hope that helps!

Will this void my warranty if I install it on my ski?

The BRP warranty states that it does not cover failures caused by aftermarket modifications. With that said, it would be unlikely for BRP to refuse a warranty claim based on installation of this part because it does not reduce reliability.

Someone has to try it they are basically the same. Just smaller engine . But they say it doesnt as it will not add much more speed

Hi Eddy, thanks for your question. The 230 Series is not held back by a factory speed control system so a SCOM will not benefit the 230 models. We recommend a reflash via MaptunerX for more speed on 230 models. The pump impeller should also be changed to match for optimum performance with the new tune.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I guess I will have to decide if 2-3 MPH are worth 1800 dollars. Maybe I should just enjoy this one for a few more years and get a 300 or whatever it will be in a few years and SCOM that. Seams like a lot more bang for my buck/bucks. No, this SCOM is created solely to function with Sea-Doo Watercraft. The FX does not have a aped limiter program in the ECU.The top speed of that ski is limited by the intake grate, impeller and RPM limit built into the ECU. We do not currently offer a SCOM for the FX SVHO, however if you are looking to unlock better performance for your waverunner, check out the MaptunerX - rivaracing.com/p-33822-maptunerx.html
