Hi Matt - we love the opening of the vlog - "cracking good!" The lobby is great, the room is adequate since you're probably not going to spend too much time there - it's clean and has all the amenities. The pool looks great, don't forget the sun screen or you'll bake like a lobster! 🦞 Looks like a fun place to visit, shop and relax. A great vlog of the tequila it looks totally different since the refurbishment i was in block 7 of the old tequila is this block still near the activity pool. I have booked for my 2nd visit to this hotel on 3rd September 2025 for 14 nights.

Hi Matt, great vlog ! We have been to the Tequila 3 times before but not since the refurbishment. The accommodation layout looks totally different to how we remember. Do you have any room/block recommendations? We prefer a quieter location but with a reasonable view when we sit on the balcony. Also how many floors are there in each complex. Thank you in advance.

Firstly thanks Alison really appreciate the support! We stopped in block 16 had a balcony wasn’t the best view but good for people watching They are all 2 up 2 down rooms!

Thanks for the vlog. I’m going to the Riu Tequila this Christmas. It will be my 2nd visit to this Riu (last doing so in April 2008, which was also my first time there) and this will be my 3rd time in Mexico (my last visit was in June 2018). I know for a fact that the Riu Tequila has been refurbished twice in the 16 years since the last time I went there.

Wow you did get a banging deal! We paid £4300 for both of us, 2 weeks. We did upgrade flights though and that was about 1k. We fly out tomorrow morning :-)
