In the 1980's they were called G D Ritzy's...the new company dropped the initials. The sign was green and the lettering was in an old art deco style. Inside, it was a cross of art deco and 1950's diner style.

Very cool to get to know your friends a little more! So glad you had such a good experience at that classic restaurant. Prices seemed reasonable, that's similar to a lot of local places in Chicago too..fast food has doubled but the local places have kept their prices more on in-line with inflation.

Looks sooo good!! So nice seeing you enjoy your meals! 😊❤

Nice to see you all together today for your review of Ritzy's. For the price and the size of the bread, the proteins should have been larger but overall the food did look good.

Memories. I use to live in German Village in the 1980's and frequently ate at the G.G. Ritzy @ Grant and Livingston. Loved the single burger, skinny fries and ice cream. Thanks for the great review ladies.

@@shelleycarey478 I think it was the founders initials. Ritzy's use to be a decent sized chain but I just found out they only have like 6 or 7 locations open. That's a shame because it's yummy.

Food looks good, maybe a little expensive. You girls are having fun so it’s worth it.

OMG...was that six something for a shake ouch. I have noticed that your quick eating places especially mcd's has really gone up in price. It would almost pay to just go to a restaurant. Oh well a day out with good friends is priceless. Happy summer!

I had a pizza in the oven and started watching. Ohh, I remembered and got it out just at the correct time. Re: chile, they also offer the "Coney sauce" separately on the menu, so it's not the same as what's on the hot dogs.

My favorite time of day!!!…ladies day i see!!! That all looks really good!!!!!…i would get those for sure!!!!!they look so much better than the regular fast food burgers….fries…ice cream..shake…worth the price to me for good food!!!!enjoy it ladies!!!!bring something home for pop’s…i think hed love this…..Another iconic review from you all….❤❤

Shelley needs Dad's bib. I didn't recognize her with her hair out after seeing her last night on the live. You need to keep some little packets in your car Penny, like I do of thee salt, ketchup and so on. Oh and of course extra napkins (always), lol I swore Shelley said her ice cream was butter pecan cat soup lol. I think the smash burgers that are all the rage this summer are just because people are too lazy to make a patty so they smash them instead lol. In Kansas we have a place that sounds like that called Spangles, which has all of the 50s and 60s decor.
