Risky Jobs: The Lift Fixer
Action movie stars scale lift shafts or jump atop elevator cars in blockbusters like the Matrix. But for lift technician Mohammad Hazri, the dangers of getting electrocuted by high-voltage wires, slipping and plummeting 30 storeys, or getting fingers or limbs caught on moving parts are all part of the job. He troubleshoots HDB lift stalls that can be caused by careless litter or playful children.
#OnTheRedDot’s new series “Risky Business” looks at jobs in Singapore where individuals risk their lives every time they go to work - possibly some of the world's most dangerous jobs. Yet, they keep putting themselves in harm’s way to keep our lives running smoothly. The series profiles rope access workers, commercial divers, lift technicians and cargo ship operators.

So technical. This job requires so much skills and character way beyond imagination. Good job sir! It's not worth so much sacrifice and work just because someone littered, HDB and the police need to tighten up their rules! How many litterbugs get caught each year, clearly very very few!

I see dirty door seals at HDB lifts all the time. Mostly it's dust and gunk accumulated at the ends of door seals .... Out Town Councils really needs to educate the cleaners to pay special attention to the areas around the lift doors.

Watever it is,safety shud not be compromised...n method of statements n RIsks assessments ahud be tallied and have counter measures to minimize the risks n hazards involved......Under the WSH Act regulations.
The first lift - Shenyang Brilliant/EM Services (newer type) The second lift - KM/EM Services (older type) This is excellent behind-the-scenes footage, normally these areas are not accessible because of the risks and dangers associated with motor rooms, shafts and car tops.

How to bypass a fake lift needs like nuisance-movement pressing button(informed to other lower levels to press), like requiring gift of engineer due to situation will be fair if can skip? How it can be top secret maybe, like have a secret button outside itself, special key or number code?
How come they dont work in duos? I love that accent :)
So that’s what the lift chute looks like
Imagine u littered and someone died from it 💀
you guys have no idea how easy their job is compare to installation
