Christian Pulisic - 19 years Weston McKinnie - 19 years Tim Weah - 18 years Tyler Adams -19 years Josh Sargent - 18 years And all in the USMNT team as starters! The future looks very bright! Just hope Sebastian Soto (17 years ) goes to Germany this year too and he will soon be part of the USMNT.

Mercidi Nsiku He just scored 2 goals with the US Youth U20 in a friendly and only played 45 minutes. He was also one of the best goal scorer, or the one with the most goals, if I remember correctly, in the U19 DA season. Highly regarded upcoming striker, just what the USMNNT needs more of. Hopefully he continues to do better and does make it in Europe. And he is still 17!

Playing other sports makes you a better footballer. (heck, even Christian Pulisic played it growing up) You pick up a lot of skills and learn other ideas that apply to the pitch. Pressing originates from ice hockey. Set piece movements are similar to pick and rolls in basketball. As for being a better "soccer player," you can't ask for more when you're in the Red Bull academy by the time you're 10, in the 1st team by 16/17, and now off to the Bundesliga.

Yep. Playing multiple sports, any one; American football, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis will help you in any sport you truly want to have as your main focus. You learn a lot.

Also a lot of the reason youth development is so bad in the states. It's waaaaaaay to expensive to play at for an elite youth team, not accessible to everyone. At least he and his family have the opportunity to make that sacrifice.
