The reason is conservative failed in bringing policy which nationalist core voter were asking regarding illegal immigration and inflation. In India core voter gave warning to BJP for course correction and in UK their core voter punsihed conservative. UK is most nationalist country compare to other in europe. Rishi Sunak tried his best for course correction but it was too late just like too late for BJP to bring nationalist issues during election speeches Rish Sunak showed more guts than other previous pm in bringing on wokring on nationalist cause but seriously it was too late according to their core voters. Rishi Sunak tenure in history will be not so bad as it make to look. He was able to control falling pound value compare to dollar and UK technically did not gone into negative growth during difficult time and he tried his best to control inflation. Most food item prices or eating in resturant has increased to atleast 1.5 times in most western countries.

Sunak helped Britain in getting out of European union honourably. It is a tremendous achievement for Sunak . Sir Winston Churchill helped Britain in winning WW 2 , but he was booted out of power just after war. So full marks to Sunak , a loss for Britain indeed.

Sunak did not help India in any way. His occupying a high position, for India was only symbolic in nature.

Harshji, I live in UK more than 10 yrs now.. I've many British friends.. they think that Bojo and Liz messed it up badly.. nobody liked Bojo's partygate and Liz was a disaster. Nobody was a fan of Theresa May either. They are all against Tories not specifically against Rishi Sunak. But the guy was fighting against historic inflation and after effects of brexit. Brexit was a divide where 49:51 was the ratio of stay:leave... when it was implemented by May & Bojo ppl felt this is not the version of Brexit that they wanted!personally i feel that Rishi Sunak is brilliant but was not the direct choice of ppl... its difficult for masses to accept anyone other than native brit as PM.. and within Tories nobody wanted to change leadership as it was writing on the wall that they will loose and so they can use Rishi as an scapegoat.

That apart the reason in main was mismanagement by Borris Johnson and Liz Truss the previous two prime ministers. He is not people's leader but by infosys money he gave to the elected MPs of his party to become PM by wrong means. He has support within his party members.
