Amazing run! Great job. Evade window is extremely helpful for fights like this especially for sacred sheathe of course.

I like the mounting style of previous games more than riding. But when you ride you get a personal/alternate experience with the monsters attacks. And its fun shooting fireballs and Ice blasts and stuff

Wyvern riding is fun at first, certain monsters have really good wyvern riding attacks, but I think it is overtuned and way too strong and I don’t like how it interrupts the flow of the fight.

They should have went with normal mounting and allow you to wyvern ride the monster as reward if done perfectly or have it as a skill.

Nice! I love this play style also. It just feels good. I don't think it's mathematically better, but comfy fights are great. I like how you used tempered slash. I have feelings about that skill, tbf I don't use it enough to understand it.

Tempered is really useful in fights against monsters that have a lot of follow up attacks like this guy or scorned magna for example. It lets you counter things back to back more reliably. It also allows you to preemptively charge your spirit gauge using the small bombs like he did at the start of the hunt.

A wise man once said: "your dps drops to zero while getting carted" And yeah, Tempered Blade never had a chance with Sakura and Helmbreaker on the same slot.

Fantastic showing, way better than my gameplay lol. That said, I do have one tip: Sacred Sheathe release has armor, and can be used to power through some attacks and deal damage in return.

(LMAO!) That was funny as hell, when Almudron followed you all the way across the map... (Good Stuff!) I managed to kill Valstrax solo, without any faints my very first attempt, along with Velkhana... Val has carted me numerous times since then... It is definitely the most challenging fight to date. I do enjoy watching friends and noobs cart to him... I am happy Capcom has Finally Upped The Difficulty, and Stopped Holding our Hands Every Hunt... It's nice to actually have to work to not get killed, and still do decent damage... I hope all other monsters in following update(s) pose just as much a learning curve, (or more) as Val Does... I'm with you 100% on Not Wyvern-riding.... (I Fucking HATE IT!) It's such a dumb mechanic... I enjoyed watching your video--(as always!) Good Job, Art!

imo this is the most fun ls playstyle

when i fought valtrax, my favorite part was when i managed to iai spirit slashed it when it tried the AMBUSH.goddamn thats so satifying😂

Have u ever tried using Sacred tempered & Harvest moon? It’s pretty fun. I know it’s not optimal as using the playstyle with special sheathe.

I think it would be pretty good if you also use Serene Pose. Circle just for tempered blade seems like a waste.

Tempered Spirit Blade. Yes it is a switch skill, the same slot as you use for Helm Breaker and Sakura Slash.

This fight was annoying on GL. could not get more than one burst before having to reposition or block. Poor Almundron he just wanted some loving too.

Do u have evade window or evade extender in yr build?...i find it hard to roll some of monster attack without any evade window...

Sacred Shealth, Tempered Spirit, Round Slash. Then he switches over if he wants to perform a Sakura Slash, then back again.

Use special sheath and harvest moon so every counter is a soaring kick that’s a bit weaker.
