Rise Up - Jalang'o

What separates those who succeed and those who don’t? Is it opportunity, skills, resources? Felix Odiwuor more popularly known as Jalang’o had almost all chips stacked against him. He could not get into his high school of choice due to lack of fees and could not attend college after high school as his father could not afford it.
While scraping through life as a casual worker and theatre actor, he took a chance to apply for a job he was not skilled in or qualified for. He frankly stood no chance. What does a man who has nothing to lose, stand to lose when he gives it all he has, all he can?
Watch the story of the rise and rise of Jalang’o. Sometimes life gives you just one shot that changes your destiny for good.
Watch, Subscribe and Share. It may be what someone needs to hear. #EngageAtFive

I listened to this talk two months ago before going for an interview I wasn't qualified for. I entered with the attitude, "what do I have to loose?" I gave it my all. Two weeks later I got a contract letter. Thank you so much for your inspiration.

I hope you took good care of your dad before he passed away, my dad who was a senior primary teacher went insane when i was only 3 years..everything changed for the worse, from food, clothing, education, name them and some villagers nicknamed us for borrowing this and that.....mum struggled buying tomatoes, onions and yams tracked long distances doing errands to pay our school fees, some of my siblings had to be taken in by guardians and today through all those struggles i am somewhere and so are my sisters. Mum i love you and thanks to God and you for this far.
