Rise of the Irish Kinahan Cartel

The Irish Kinahan Cartel has become one of the most powerful criminal organizations over the past decade. According to a conference organized by Europol in 2022, it turns out that the latter plays in the league of the most powerful groups such as the Mexican cartels, the Italian mafia or even the Japanese Yakuza. One of the leaders of the clan is Daniel Kinahan, a former boxing promoter who did not hesitate to advise the biggest names in the sport like the British Tyson Fury to whitewash his reputation. The cartel has generated more than a billion euros and seems to be far from wiped out despite an international crackdown behind it, especially since their local feud since 2016 with a rival gang, managed by Gerard Hutch, The Monk. It was called The Hutch vs Kinahan feud by the medias.
This documentary on the criminal underworld explains the complete structure of this organization with several units based in different countries (Spain, Ireland, England) and which collaborated with different local gangs in Liverpool, Birmingham (Bomber Kavanagh unit) or even with a clan of Mr. Flashy in Dublin ( Gucci Gang). Not to mention the emphasis on Dubai's role as a new haven for criminals...

Only the facts are, this is only trying to find someone guilty without any evidence or even a trial. Since when was that ever acceptable? What happened with our law that states innocent until PROVEN guilty? These people commenting must want to remove that law? So I wonder how they'd feel if it was them being spoken about like criminals with no evidence against them? I'm more than sure they'd change their outlook.

To this Australian, the drama and mayhem occurring in this international gangland biff is utterly fascinating. To risk all of their international business by carrying out assassinations in multiple international jurisdictions is complete madness. These gangsters really seem to fuck up when they prioritise vengeance over money, and enter tit for tat killings. They jeopardise their gravy trains over blood, and sometimes even kill innocent bystanders. If they kept their heads and kept the emphasis on the gravy train, maybe holding off on the vengeance until a later date and place so they could maximise their profits they would probably have much more money and much fewer legal issues. But it seems some of these blokes can't seem to help themselves, and they have to go a-killin'. That's my uneducated and barely considered opinion.

ig if you're a gangster you don't want the image that you won't do anything if people fuck with you, because then people will fuck with you and it'll hurt your business. From a profit perspective perhaps offing one or two people is more affordable than having more people trying to steal from or kill your guys.

Doesn't matter if you lock everyone up, there's always someone else to take their place, drugs are commodities that will always be in demand so there will always be a supply, only solution would be to legalise and tax all drugs and use the profits to help ppl come off drugs and rebuild communities that have been destroyed
