I can't imagine fighting multiple enemies on toughest at my current skill level. And you had a good selection for highlights. You made me want to find my RON t&p and start playing again.

You need to keep making great scenarios, you are awesome at it and I can always rewatch your videos and still get blown away.

They need to make larger maps, Imagine a map that had the entire european continent+ north africa and middle east all the way to the urals. Now that would be interesting and so much more countries.

Am I the only one that constantly builds up the most powerful Economy only to have every last nation eventually go "OH YOU HAVE TOO MANY RESOURCES YOU MUST BE STOPPED" until I ragequit?

@tibby499 there is a capitol building that you can build next to your city. Which ever city you build it too, the capitol will move to that city. If you want to move the capital somewhere else, you can raze the existing capitol building and build it next to a city that you want be the capital. Simple as that

@fernandoferchofer what do you mean it cant be safe? saved? to save a scenario u hav to click save on the lower right screen. u also have to set the nation that u want to play to human, and others to computer, including the difficulty levels.

@boneheadbray in "nations" tab (i think) in the scenario editor there is a box you can check called "in game diplomacy"

Could you tell me how scripts work? I really want to know but have no clue - (i don't yet have the thrones and patriots edition) I want to have a kind of world war 2 scenario as Britain with no nukes and a small bit on the left, where britain can have a few merchant fleets going across which the U boats can destroy. Sorry its so long and Great Vid!

In settings make sure it is set to Max 200, and then there is a wonder (Statue of Rhodes) that increases it even further, and a certain resource (Peacocks) that does that as well. (:

@MAGIC991000 If you already have Scenario in game then go to Single Player and look for something for Scenario (I think it says load scenario) if you want to load a downloaded scenario into the game, ask Mr. 76.

Love this game. It's too hard to play against computer(s) when you research technology, which give you an opportunity to build units instantly (in last age). So many forces come around, and it's not simple to control all of them just in time... But it still great!!!

@uzer76 Sometimes that works, but other times I use a gigantic industry and build an army fast and I have had times where I was literally at their capital, they had no army and were blockaded and their message from the ruined capital was "Peace? But first, gimme a down payment of 2 grand of everything." Once after that I continued and won the battle only to be blitzed on all fronts.

@reddenbawker When I play on the Mediterranean(Big Huge for size), all the nations(Minus my proxy ally, which I use to guard one of my fronts so I can focus my forces) eventually declare war on me several times for this reason Roughly 2 minutes later I've resecured peace with almost all of them and it goes on and on and on And then I conquer them all :D

i wish more people did commentary's on rise of nations...

@ArchossWigmore I actually never done scripting, so i have no idea how it works. my best advise is to check online for instructions.

Rise of Nations is a much polished combination of Empire Earth and it's sequel. Think of it as Empire Earth 1 and 2, with the superfluous epochs pruned and Empire Earth 2 style Diplomacy, along with additional innovations and intuitive territory system. For example, Empire Earth has fuel for airplanes, whilst Empire Earth 2 does not. Empire Earth 2 has territories, whilst Empire Earth 1 does not. EE 1 has better nation bonuses than EE 2. Rise of Nations T&P has all these things and more.

Oh I just remembered, Company of Heroes 2, and that should be a great game, but I want a game where I can control a country with an economy and military that is more fast-paced than Civ games (which I also love). Rome 2: Total War I think is the only game that fulfils that for now

@reddenbawker lol dont rage quit. its annoying when you lose, but that's how you learn. build up enough armed forces to defend your nation until your strong enough to attack. if u are attacked, send your defense army to counter them and immediately order more troops from the barracks, hopefully you have more than one built. then keep sending reinforcements until they are defeated.

how do you build trenches?

Was this sped up or something? It seemed to go from Zero to 1000 in 1 minute. I bought Rise of Nations but I've never played it so I'm not sure how it works. Is it really this fast paced? I'm more into the slower type of strategy game.

WHY have they not made a Rise of Nations 2 (A like-for-life successor to the original, not a spin-off like Rise of Legends)? Imagine this game with the graphics and depth that the capability of today's computers can give. In fact, why are there no games like this anymore? Years ago you had this, Age of Empires, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, Empire Earth. C&C. There are no games coming up (that I know of) that are of this genre. The upcoming C&C does not count
