Hi Rich, thanks for doing this video. Steve Albini was a major artist and his passing is a great loss to contemporary music. The first Shellac album 'At Action Park' from 1994 is a minimalist rock masterpiece. I hope the new Shellac album does come out and becomes a good legacy for Albini's devotion to non-mainstream artistry.

Thanks for sharing your excellent Albini collection. R.I.P. Mr. Albini sadly he probably had high blood pressure or something, he might be still with us if he got his stubborn ass to a doctor! There’s a video on Conan O’Brien‘s podcast of Steve, Dave Grohl, and Chris Novoselic talking about Steve’s music, guitar playing, and the back-and-forth before recording in utero. That’s pretty good. anyhow Richie your wisdom, collection and wealth of Punk records is always a great video ride. I will play both the "Atomizer" and "The Hammer Party" 12 inches tonight. Maybe "Racer X" and "Songs About Fucking" also if I can find the cassettes. Thanks for informing the VC community in a timely matter.

I have been meaning to buy some big black, now I’m sure it’s all gonna shoot up in price. I’m seeing all these articles about him saying “genius or jerk” but it seems more like just some dude who was a contrarian and made good music. What’s your Discogs name?

RIP. His instructional video on mic placement is hilarious, he keeps sliding into the frame out of nowhere. I guess you have to see it. Can’t say Albini didn’t have a sense of humor. It’s scary, though. I’m about his age.
