So, looks like my favorite modlist Septimus is retired from Wabbajack and gone for good. So join me as I walk across Septimus Skyrim and talk about the game and lore. I visit each hold capital starting from Riften to Windhelm, Winterhold, Dawnstar, Morthal, Solitude, Markarth, Falkreath and finally end the journey in Whiterun.
Lots of sightseeing and fun little moments. I even managed to get lost a bit around the woods of Falkreath.
Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing if you like my content! Thanks!

I don't know about Septimus in particular, but I would suspect that there could have been issues with individual mods getting updated and breaking or creators not wanting their content included for whatever reason

@@Gitshiver Yeah, modlists come and go eventually. My Septimus installment works fine as long as I keep it, but once I uninstal that's it lol. I've been playing exlusively Septimus for over a year so until I find a new suitable modlist gonna keep this one.

Love that story about your first run in with a Vigilant duo. The game always has those nice moments I suppose that stick in your mind. For me it was the Necromancer Bounty Officer (not actually a thing, just a weird implication of how the game works with the "Hired Thugs" event being able to be sent after you for a crime you committed against someone already dead), and the first time I saw a Legion Patrol on the road (Helped me kill a Saber Cat that was just a bit too tough for my level 2 butt to take) and following along with them as they talked about the War, and why they're there, and their hopes and dreams. Nice little moment.

Man, this was perfect for me today. Anxiety and depression hitting hard, can't focus at all. This was nice because it's helping me quell everything and work. Just nice and relaxing.

From what I understand about Eastmarch and the Red Mountain is that, much like plate tectonics shift, so do the caldera's of volcanoes, an example are the Hawaiian islands, the caldera is one, but bcs over the millennia it's shifted, it created an island at each spot it shifted to, so Eastmarch used to be the old caldera before plate tectonics shifted it to Vvardenfel

Near as I could figure myself (not some "Lore Master" or anything, just following along with stuff in games)... Magnus was apparently a mortal who ascended to godhood kinda like Tiber Septim. And it was his ascension that poked holes in Aetherius to create Stars (and the Sun) from which magic flows to Nirn. It's weird because it's all based on stuff from the Mythic Era and most stuff I see about the Mythic Era kind of reminds me of White Wolf's Mage: The Awakening. Which if you don't know, the backstory to that is long long ago, in the before time... reality kind of... didn't exist? Or rather didn't exist in a permanent state. Basically anyone with the will to overpower anyone else nearby and the imagination could make up what reality was at their whims. If they wanted to say the world was all made out of Chocolate Pudding and that 1930s Cartoon Physics of everything being alive and gooey/stretchy was the norm... then it was. In a highly localized area. Until someone else could rest it away and decide that the world should be entirely made up of free flowing energy and no one has a solid body/presence at all... and so on. So think of a time where physical laws didn't exist. Gravity didn't exist. Electromagnetism didn't exist. Everything we know was subject to "Whatever some local sorcerer king asshat thinks at the moment". And eventually in Mage: The Awakening that was fixed by a cabal of people who decided to tap into the minds of the common man to create what they called "pattern". Basically the physical laws of reality so that anyone trying to warp them would get a snap back in "Paradox" instead of changing reality at a whim (Funny enough they're the villains of the game, the people who decided to create the idea of SCIENCE! and permanent reality instead of complete and total anarchy). And from what I understand the chaos of the Mythic Era was basically ended by Shor/Lorkahn doing a similar thing. Creating laws of reality for that setting so the world had permanence (and I guess similarly the Elves see him as the world's greatest villain for doing that). But it's all based in a time where stuff was pretty insane. And thus hard for me to follow. Because most everything you "know" from the setting kind of didn't exist or existed in flux or wasn't really a thing (like Aedra and Daedra didn't exist back then really?).

The Forsworn worship Daedra, when you do the escape from Cidhna mines quest and help their leader, he gives you the armor of the old gods (which is a name for the Daedra)

I have say, I wouldn't mind an NPC named "Snowberry". Comes off as a nice insulting nickname that someone might have given a character, and they didn't realize it was insulting.

Late for the party, but my favorite had always been Windhelm. Its such an imposing city rife with an aura of power and domination, as well as the pride of a people that earned their place as that of superiors. The design is really gothic yet nordic, beautiful in its own forbidding way, and the guards there actually felt like guards instead of glorified retirees. Windhelm is also home to the Stormcloaks and the seat of the best Jarl, Ulfric. So yeah, I like the city. Plus, as someone that's born in a tropical country, I'm always fascinated with the idea of snow. Windhelm is the perfect fit for me. Even without mods, Windhelm is just fine. The matter of hostile people is irrelevant for me. Integrate, respect the culture, contribute, then done. No problems. There's also the fact that the people of Windhelm are nationalistic and value their sovereignty and self determination, which is something a lot overlook because of muh morals and what have you. So seeing this genuine love for your country is also heartwarming and inspiring to see. Least favorite city is probably Morthal. Its just a damn swamp. Edit: Oh and favorite region would probably The Pale. So much snow and just the quaint aura of an ancient, slumbering land is enchanting for me. Even without mods, I love taking a walk around The Pale from time to time. Least favorite would probably the Falkreath area. Not due to anything negative about the place. Its just that I spent a lot of time in forests and orchards and the like in my youth. So seeing another forest doesn't impress me that much. Mods fix that by adding interesting daedras and what not, but not by much.

Gothic nordic is a really great description of Windhelm! Hope you get to experience snowy winter one day, if you haven't already. I moved to a subtropical region years ago and as a winter loving man, I also miss snow. Skyrim is a great way to relive that fantasy.
