I know that I am 5 years late... But rip and sara deserve each other. I am at season 5 in legends and have seen supergirl, flash, and arrow and rip is my favorite arrowverse character.

Rip/Arthur truly deserved a better ending. I can only guess that his ending was so open ended in case Arthur decided to come back.

Idk if you mean when rip sees his family, that was in the season 1 finale 'Legendary'. The one episode were we see Miranda is Marooned, idk what number.

What I don't like is that after all the seasons Rip didn't get a proper love life
