    Loved to watch him. Gave it on both ends, made most of his ability, whatever he did NEVER took away from his teammates' games since he played off of others.

    Reggie is and Ray will be a HOFer. Rip? Hey, he was his teams' best or 2nd best player for most of his career. Played both ends, passed and had a true impact.

    Rip Hamilton probably haves the best mid range game out of all SG that I've known of and really there aren't a lot of guys that's played like Rip since then. Probably the closest comparison would be Klay Thompson.

    If you want to argue that rip had a better team than reggie, look at 2004 season when rip won his ring. Pacers had the best record that season and the 2nd best defense in the league. Rip put on a clinic against the pacers in the playoffs, averaged 23.7 PPG on 47 %FG

    Thanks for the post. I actually try to mirror my game after Rip when I play ball at the park. I try to run as much as I can an keep my defender tired. Run to my spots on the baseline for a nice and easy jump shot. If we agree to count all shots as 1 point... game over we win

    Reggie was definitely the better individual player, but I think Rip is the better team player. He is in that group of guys that helped a team win in both the NCAA and NBA, and doing it both times without much star talent.

    It depends how you look at it. In their primes Reggie was easily a better scorer but Rip did other things better than Reggie like pass and rebound. In other words, a better team asset. Rip also chose his spots almost exclusively in the mid-range and molded himself to the team better than Reggie did on both ends of the court.

    Have u been watching Steph for the last 6 years? He literally is the 3 point shooting version of Rip when he plays offball with the mean handles to match. Steph's off-ball movement is hella underrated.

    rip is a poormans reggie miller. no disrespect to him at all, being a pistons fan, but he really can run in transition and has the best conditioning of any athlete in the game.

    I move without the ball all the time. It just sucks in pick up games that no one knows the type of pass to do. People seem to forget they can bounce pass

    That's a fair point. Reggie was the better individual player, better 3-point shot. However, Rip was the better team player. He could tailor fit his game into any team without disrupting his team-mate's game. Reggie would never be able to tailor his game to fit anyone's else. All his team-mates has to make their game suit reggie's. Reggie was never the franchise player the pacers thought he was. You could never win a championship with reggie as your franchise player. Rip knew what he could and couldn't do as a player. He never tried to be the No.1 guy. he just played his role well. That's why he has a ring and reggie doesn't.

    rip is a better player than miller on both ends of the court. miller is overrated because of being a clutch performer against the ny knicks. that was a matchup problem for the knicks and the pacers capitalized on it. rip hamilton is a much better player and a champion.

  • @TheAnswer189
    @TheAnswer18911 жыл бұрын

    Luke Walton: 2 rings. Rings never will define players. Charles Barkley has no rings, and Rip is nowhere near as good as him. Sorry, but Miller is better.
