As a young soldier, I attended an Al Jarreau concert in Frankfurt, Germany in the early 80s. I attended his very last concert in Austin, Texas at the One World Theatre in December 2016. He performed two shows and I attended both of them. Brenda Russell was there and I was able to meet her. Al, you are truly missed and you were one of a kind. A fan Still Looking to the Rainbow and listening to your timeless music. May You and Susan RIP. Say hello to George Duke for me.

Thank you for sharing this video! I have this album SO many years ago which was purchased at least 15 years after its release in the bargain bins & have forgotten all about it till now. It made me re-listen to the album all over again & I am completely blown away again by his vocals mastery! And to discover the Miles Davis's cover was simply wonderful !!! Many thanks again!

When you have a consummate entertainer, whatever they put their hand to, they make it their own. No matter what Al Jarreau did, he put his stamp on it. Carlos Santana also does the same thing. Any projects they did always reflected 'their' style, for what they are known. When a song starts to play, there is no doubt who is the entertainer at its center.
