The guest vocalist who sang duet in Killers with Tony Moore was Joe Lynn Turner.
Dance of Death is one of my favorite Riot songs. On your Knees, Bloodstreets, Johnny;s back, Outlaw. Classic songs.

I got there cassette Fire Down Under in the early 80s I dont remember how or why but i did like it and played the hell out of it . No one i knew ever herd of them. This is only the second time i have ever seen there name pop since Swords and Tequila was my fav I would call it speed metal before it got popular
Oh yeah! Was hoping Narvik would be requesting a Riot marathon. Narvik you're my new best friend my man! Keep this great metal journey going. Glad you're enjoying this most excellent metal Nick, keep on keeping on brother!
Thank you for doing this!- Riot is a criminally underrated 80s (and beyond) metal band, wish more people knew about them. You should check out their earlier material, off their "Fire Down Under" (1981) or "Restless Breed" (1992) albums- "Swords and Tequila" is my favorite.
YES RIOT! Riot are one of my favorite bands ever and are so underrated man. Mark Reale the guitarist is so good with his amazing riffs and melodies. Also the album Thundersteel is a masterpiece man, I can't never get tired of it. Keep doing more Riot reactions man 👍 Also, react to the Riot album Immortal Soul with the same singer Tony Moore from the two albums you reacted to, it's a amazing way to end his career with the band and so is the original guitarist Mark Reale. The songs I definitely recommend are Riot, Wings are for Angels, and Insanity.
" FIRE DOWN UNDER " is their best album & a Great song !

Oh yeah totally! The title track is the best imo but the whole record is great. A lot less thrashy but more groovy
Thunder Steel is in my list of best 10 Metal Albums ever 😊
This is later Riot. If you like this, you've got to listen to Narita/Fire Down Under/Restless Breed era Riot. Saw them live supporting Rainbow and the Scorpions around this time, and they were excellent
Their cover of Al DiMeola's Race With the Devil on Spanish Highway is a great take.

Check out their 1981 release "Fire Down Under". I got to see them in a Night Club in Wilkes Barre PA in 1981! Great Show!
Everyone has heard Deep Purple Not many have heard Tommy Bolin with DP!! Only on 1 album (replaced Blackmore for last of the 70's) Check " Dealer " (75) 🔥 🔥 Best solo ever with with Tommy contributing small vocal part(David Coverdale less vocals ) !!!
Outlaw is my favorite by Riot. Waiting for some Megadeth.

Having a RIOT marathon without including the very best album RIOT ever recorded (Fire Down Under 1981) is criminal ! That album is the undisputed very best album from RIOT! Released in 1981 and was way ahead of its time. You listen to the album today and it still sounds excellent. it should have become an all time classic rock album just like Back in Black and some other released around the same time. Sadly, they had a lot of bad luck in the early 80's , lack of radio play, band members dying etc Putting a baby seal on the album covers was the worst marketing strategy ever.
I believe they're from New York City? (Long Island)
Killer was the style of metal they played before Thundersteel.

As someone who personally knew Mark reale. (he was basically my step dad.) I know if he where around he would of loved to see you react to these. Not many people know of Riot, and it’s beyond a shame they never blew up. Mark was a Literal guitar god back in his prime. R.I.p mr.Reale. *Lifts my beer* this one’s to you and to our boi Nick for listening to your music.

First song I ever learned to play was thundersteel from him personally. Literally the nicest man I ever knew. Bought me a guitar at 14, taught me basic musical theory and helped me learn guitar. He lived with me and my mother on and off for the last 4 years of his life. Fun fact his dad. A 90 year old man Wore Converse and literally would thrash metal it out. Basically a rock and roll grandpa. (god bless him) lmao
Loved it! Now you should try some of the early 80's work from Riot. Fire Down Under would be a great place to start.

The harmonies in Thundersteel are not tapping, just major & minor triads between the 2nd and 1st string like Iron Maiden in phantom of the opera, the speed fact sounds like tapping but it's not Cheers from Mexico!
1988 is also the year of Queensrÿche's magnum opus "Operation Mindcrime". Drummer Bobby Jarzombek makes his debut with Riot on Thundersteel.

The classic Riot with Guy Speranza on vocals is where you start. FIRE DOWN UNDER is the no. 1 album. Kinda like getting introduced to Judas Priest with the Painkiller album.

Mark was always the lead guitarist, never the vocalist. Classic Riot has Guy Speranza on vocals. Check out Rock City and Narita albums.
