Really sad to see that every "top metal albums of 2022" article omits this album, this is quality stuff, easily could be in the top 10.

Just started listening to it,I'm blown away !!!and just think in just 6 day's on October 7 new Queensryche and The Cult!!!and fall has barely began!!!Metal is Back!!!!

Drawn in by the kickass retro album cover, staying for the kickass vocal style and excellent backing instrumentals.

Absolutely ! Halford, but also an original mixture of Michael Kiske and Biff Byford in the mid to high range. And the Maiden vibe is clearly there ! With such comparisons... This can only be high quality heavy metal.

Yes, strong European traditional metal vibe, eg, Maiden, Priest, or Scorps. Also, the high vibrato is reminiscent of Ian Gillan in the early days. With so many first rate singers these days, I am losing interest in bands that have crappy vocals.

Finally got my CD today. The hype is real. I'm an old metalhead, 62 years young. This is classic METAL! The vocals are best I've ever heard, now I know why. The lead guitarist was also the lead singer on the first album, Burn the night (2019). He sings back up vocals now. At first, I thought they had 2 lead singers, they do! No fillers on this album. This is easily my metal album of the year!! Best true heavy metal in a very, very long time. Sounds much better on CD. Mixed by Olof Wikstrand of Enforcer, thanks man. Be careful, this will blow your ears out!!

@@yahtze3 Thanks again. I'm an old metal head looking for new bands with classic sound. Here's a couple old bands that got over looked by many. Savatage, and Riot. If you never heard them, you are in for a surprise. Both are in my top 10. Riot, Fire Down Under is my most underrated album ever. Savatage, any album before 1994. Jon Oliva died in 1993 (RIP). Most underrated guitar player ever. Him, and his brother Criss (singer) where the best.

Any band, on their second crack at a studio album who casually throws the word ELITE into the album name is basically taunting any new listener to poke holes in their work. Don't bother poking - these guys truly are Elite, but don't just take my Word for it. Riot City has already bubbled their way to the top in this genre of music.

Last show I went or before Covid shit everything down was a local Riot City gig. They played “lucky Diamond” and now finally after all this time I can hear it again 🥲

Definitely getting the CD.🔥🎸🤘 (And a T-Shirt)😆✌️

This is insane good stuff. The singer would have been a good fit for SANCTUARY, if there hasn't been a WARREL DANE. I also hear John Arch of early Fates Warning and the singer of the italian band Labyrinth (Rob Tyrant). It's very difficult to sing as this singer does and it needs huge talent and years of hard practice. I am impressed. How can someone sing this traditional metal style so good without being born in 1970?

The Warning is legendary and a milestone. In 10 years from now no one will remember Riot City because they don't play anything original. On the contrary with Queensryche of the first 4 releases that broaden music's horizons

Best album of the year

Pre- ordered this album after hearing Ghost Of Reality. Sat down one night with a friend to give it a proper listen. My balls completely exploded at around 0:13. I am now sterile, but still happier than before this album came into my life. Album of the year for me. This is insane!

at first i thought it was a remaster from an old cd ,middle 87 -90...speechless...its happens now..finally a good album ..good job guys ..keep the faith!

I hear a lot of Geoff Tate especially in Paris Nights

Riot City one of hte best bands here, I'm feeling so good about this new album. Lucky dimond and eye of the jaguar are my favorite, thanks for sharing, I'm returning to the force with keeping my eye of the jaguar to go beyond the stars, defetting the tyrant and scaping from the ghost of reality, like a magic paris nights, just watching those severed ties and keeping my powerfull lucky dimond.

Imagine being from Calgary and not even realizing they are from the town you live in... Awesome stuff! And I agree, those vocals are incredibly powerful and with amazing control.

I haven't headbanged in a long while, and while I like the vocals, it's the riffs and solos that I appreciate the most.

Badass.
