Additionally, Lake Avery, the Flats Tops Wilderness Area, the White River National Forest, and additional public lands spanning well over 1 million acres are all accessible within 30 minutes of the ranch! Meeker and the White River Valley are well known for their quality elk, deer, antelope, and turkey hunting. Meeker is also an OHV friendly town, meaning OHV travel is permitted on city streets and designated county roads which provides for easier access to endless trails that depart directly from town. To Increase recreational opportunities throughout Rio Blanco County, the county created the “Wagon Wheel Trail System” which features over 250 miles of trails that vary in difficulty, and 16 interconnecting loops in the White River National Forest. Agriculture
As a result of the 10 shares of water out of the Miller Creek Ditch used for a large pivot irrigated field behind the house, and smaller flood irrigated fields along both sides of the driveway to the house, the current owners typically receive 150 ton of hay annually after one cutting from approximately 70 +/- acres. However, there is potential for more as it is possible to get a second cutting, but the owners use it for pasture. The ranch is also perimeter fenced with additional fencing dispersed throughout the ranch that features distinctive pipe fences, as well as barbed wire fencing.

Though Meeker Airport is available for business and private flights, the closest airports that provide commercial flights are all within 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours from the ranch. Those airports include the Grand Junction Regional Airport, Yampa Valley Regional Airport located in Hayden, CO and Eagle County Regional Airport which is in Gypsum, CO.
