It started from a burn, but there are hair follicles that are trying to produce hair through a thick scar, which is causing an ingrown hair or hairs, that then turned into a keloid. Soon it can turn into something else. It could also be oil trying to push its way through the scar.

Day 1: Just take a burnt tipped sowing pin, cleaned with alcohol, stick it just underneath the center of the surface of the scar, break the skin open enough to squeeze out the puss/gunk. Wipe clean with alcohol. Let it rest without any healing ointment. Day 2: See if the swelling has gone down. If so, break the skin even more to see what is exactly going on inside. It may be ingrown hairs that need to be removed with tweezers, it also may just be puss/gunk that needs to be squeezed out. Repeat the cleaning process. Let it rest. Day 3: If the swelling has gone down, then apply ointment to start the healing process.

Just so yall know...if you got a grease fire...(if possible) cover the pan with a lid or another pot to kill the oxygen getting to the fire. Use either salt or baking soda.
