As a lifelong lover of Tolkien, and the 2 trilogy movies, this show was absolutely terrible. Quit in episode 4, even though I was trying to force my way through it on principle...just couldn't.

HAHA! OMG so true! I honestly could not make it past ep 2 because it was just TOO abysmal to watch. However i did screenshot some of the beautiful locations to add to my LOTR image folder. Only good thing from that tv show were the CGI locations and making up funny names for all the silly characters like Gay-ladriel, baby face elrond, potato-sack Jesus, not-Sauron and elf-homie.

So glad I stuck with this show. Slow, SLOW start, but I had a lot of fun with it. Really taking everything at face because this is my first LOTR project. Fingers crossed for S2.

Thanks for recapping a show I wouldn't watch if you paid me. I heard it was bad, this pretty much confirms it.

I really enjoyed TROP. It gave me the same warm feels as LOTR. Durin and his wife were some of my favorite scenes. Those and the Harfoots.

I think this recap is almost too good. If this was all I'd seen I might want to watch it.
