They try to milk everything for cash, so im not surprised. In a few years youll even see Sauron eating tea biscuits with Darth Vader, both sitting on a Nimbus 2000 flying low close to the ground, after they joined forces to defeat the Joker. Little do they know that the Joker has upgraded his broom to a Nimbus 3000...they dont stand a chance. They killed Batman off in Gotham Knights, so that dude is not an issue here. In the backround you can see Two Brothers coming down hard on a spaceship, invading Earth with angry pregnant women holding portal guns, also being chased by giant zebra striped cats wearing red sunglasses. In the end, a meteor will kill them all, just like the dinosaurs. No self respecting meteor would want to see this shit, so expect the meteor to wear a paper bag over its head while it enters the atmosphere.

When he started, Morgoth could actually solo fight an entire Valar goon squad to a stalemate. Only when Tulkas arrived it, then it became difficult. Then Morgoth started pouring his power to pollute the world and grow monsters like Carcharoth or big dragons like Ancalagon. It's also correct with Tolkien's logic of evil being self destructive and wasteful, so as a result, Morgoth became weaker over time. He couldn't fight off Ungolianth alone, Fingolfin hurt him quite badly and eagle scratched his face. During War of Wrath, he didn't even bother to stand and fight personally.

I will say this in defence of the series: when I read the Silmarillion, I always pictured Sauron less as a hulking brute in full plate armour (which was for me more appropriate for Morgoth - and I remember they based Sauron's appearance on Morgoth in the movies) and more malicious and sly, like a sorcerer. I think this design nails it.

Is Sauron's look in Rings of Power a point of contention to begin with? He looks more or less the same as he did in the original LOTR trilogy, except with a spear instead of a mace The Hobbit movies altered Sauron's appearance more than Rings of Power does (at least as far as we can tell from just the silhouette). In the Hobbit Sauron is noticeably leaner and doesn't have the cape or spiky shoulder armor

I gotta say, glad they kept his strangely elongated profile from the movie. I'm not sure if it was deliberate or a limitation of the technology for his armor when Peter Jackson made it, but the thin elongated profile that still towered over other creatures and moved fluidly in full armor definitely had an intimidation factor. Had Sauron had normal human proportions or gone full Space Marine Emperor of Man, I feel like he wouldn't have been the awe-inspiring villain that he was in my childhood memories.
@cald1421 Жыл бұрын
These are the coolest parts of the story. The massive battles between myths and legend. The fantasy brought alive. But the movies AND the shows give us 30 second, blurry flashback clips. Well, as a huge fan of LoTR, and the Silmarillion, i’ve decided to try and enjoy this adaptation for what it is. Seeing Finrod was great. What I presume was the Oath of Feanor would have been better with the appropriate livery of each house (they were all dressed the same). Sure I would have liked to see more of the War of Wrath. And I sure didn’t like that Gil-Galad would impede any martial effort to hunt down Sauron, I don’t believe that would have been his character. But, it’s only been two episodes. Hoping for the best 👍🏼

This one scene already makes the whole of Rings of Power worth it. When I saw this big behemoth just walk casually down this steps, I knew absolutely no one was going to fuck with him. Observation here* judging by the size of these orcs which look to be roughly five feet in this clip, (CANNON - (""3-6 feet"")) That puts this towering Sauron ATLEAST 12 foot here... I've read before where some put the mark at 12 foot but the much less rare statement is that Sauron in his physical form is 9 foot. Here I'm saying it's looking like 12. Basketball hoops nation wide are at 10 feet. His spear is probably the length of a 16 foot 2x4💀

These are the coolest parts of the story. The massive battles between myths and legend. The fantasy brought alive. But the movies AND the shows give us 30 second, blurry flashback clips. I hope to see much more of this kind of epic clashing in the show after the appropriate buildup and politicking of course

This scene alone shows just how menacing & fearsome Sauron is & just how much of a threat he poses. Edit: Weather it’s Sauron from the second age or the third age he undoubtedly still holds a lot of power & intimidation. Something I feel the Jackson trilogy doesn’t really capture all that much like this show.

Well Sauron wasn’t a physical being by the time of the third age, it’s hard to be intimidated by a ghost

Id say he is at the height of his powers between second and third age despite him being stripped of his powers of shapeshifting (due to Eru himself, he was too much of a threat that the big man had to step in).
Sauron's armour looks sooo gooood!
I swear this and the elven fleet sailing were the only breathtaking clip i could see in the entire series. 😞😔

When Guylandriel said to Galbrand "You were the Lord of the Rings all along" i felt the pain and the sorrow, truly one of the shows of all time
Pretty cool music you added to it u did a good job trying not to get copyrighted I got copyright on one of my vids
"Halbrand, is that you?"
Fans: Sauron is the hero, I hope Sauron wins, Sauron actually is the good guy Sauron to every character in the show: It smells like b*tch in here
Ah... the times when there was still hope that this show can be okish and have some good moments.
"it's ring of powerin time" said Sauron, calmly.
This is a great shot, makes me root for Sauron :-)
Sauron is the second dark lord of Middle Earth and was a servant of the first dark lord Melkor later known as Morgoth
The way Sauron walks in makes him look like the baddest motherfucker who ever walked on Arda.
I remember watching Rings of Power for no reason. I’ve never watched any of the LOTR films (barely in the community so only know a couple tid bits) and only watched ROP for fantasy inspo for my Minecraft world and then, this scene pops up and I jump out of my seat and start yelling at the TV: “It’s the guy! It’s the guy! It’s the man! Let’s gooo!”
This is one thing I wish the OG trilogy did. Sauron only appeared in-armor in the opening scene, and almost all the shots featuring him are tight close-ups. It makes it very difficult to get an accurate reading on his size. We can tell he's big, but getting a wide shot of him absolutely towering over everyone would have been incredible.
I don't care what the critics say. I'm loving this show so far and boy oh boy they did not skimp on the post processing. Wow

PURE ART ~ DEEP DARK ART
This one scene already makes the whole of Rings of Power worth it. When I saw this big behemoth just walk casually down this steps, I knew absolutely no one was going to fuck with him. Now, I’m curious, because obviously the Stranger is Sauron, but why in the world did he come crashing down in a ball of fire?
@lordmujanos4230

Nah, stranger is most likely Saruman or some producents made up Maia, if we saw Sauron it can only be Halbrand

@@lordmujanos4230 After watching episode 3, I’m inclined to agree with you. It isn’t Sauron. However, there is one person I think it might be. Get ready. I think it’s Gandalf. Or as he was known in his earlier days, Mithrandir, or a different name depending on which age it is.

@@nateborie6329 Well many people guess was Gandalf, mine aswell but eversince Nerd of the Rings did podcast with Llyod Owen (Elendil) I changed my mind, reason is that Owen saying directors are worshiping lore and work and story of Tolken, that being said I highy doubt they will bring Gandalf in 2nd age since he came after year 1000 in the third age

Best scene in rings of of power
I really really like, that he looks and feeld more like a super powerful wizard/sorcerer/necromacer than just a "warrior"... looks really cool!

Better than full 6 episodes.
I can keep seeing sauron's silhouette for a lifetime and not get tired of it. Such a commanding, intimidating, powerful, terrorising, artistic and once in a millenia character. Every evil character's wet dream.
Boss. 😎😎
Sauron in this show seems more popular than Guyladeriel.
Proabaly the only well designed scene in the entire series so far.
Love when Galadriel said “Nuke Sauron from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure “.
One of the few things this show did a great job with
I wish we could learn more about the first age and morgoth already
Sauron is the first place at any tops of villians for all times. Peter Jackson create amazing look of this character!
This small part was one of the very few aspects I liked about the show cause it looks cool
Sadly this is the best scene from this entire season
I never thought I'd see that figure outside a DVD. He scared me as a kid.
The coolest thing in the whole series is lifted from Jackson’s FotR. Funny that.
Thank Eru Ilúvatar he doesn't look like Eminem
when ever i see this scene i remember lady gladrial quote " Much That Once Was Is Lost For None Now Live To Remember It .. BUT THEY WERE ALL OF THEM DECEIIIVED . "
Tapped out on the show after the 4th episode, but this scene looks pretty cool
Sauron will be the main Antigonist .. in this series Possibly appearing in a few episodes This season and more and more in the next seasons .. the reason they Didn’t show Melkor is bcoz this is the series based on Sauron not morgoth .. he will be appearing in his own show.. the SILMARILLION
In this scene I have the feeling that Sauron won to fight the orcs. When a character comes with light behind him, he is good.
@hydromancer4916

Sauron was good, initially. He was at first called Mairon, or the admirable, and was a craftsman under the valar Aule. He had a love of order, which was exploited and corrupted by Melkor into tyrannical evil. Only then did the elves rename him to Sauron, or the abhorred.

Swift knee in the happy sacks - Sauron will go down just like anyone! 👍
I would bow fast after seeing him.

Halbrand is Sauron
Observation here* judging by the size of these orcs which look to be roughly five feet in this clip, (CANNON - (""3-6 feet"")) That puts this towering Sauron ATLEAST 12 foot here... I've read before where some put the mark at 12 foot but the much less rare statement is that Sauron in his physical form is 9 foot. Here I'm saying it's looking like 12. Basketball hoops nation wide are at 10 feet. His spear is probably the length of a 16 foot 2x4💀
