This song and Eric Clapton's "Let It Rain" always remind me of one another, especially the Delaney Bramlett mix of "Let It Rain". This version of "It Don't Come Easy" and again "Let It Rain" both sound like they could fit right into the 'All Things Must Pass' sessions.

To me this track is super humbling. Even Ringo Starr, arguably one of the most influential drummers of all time gets nervous and forgets the lyrics on stage and rushes the song. It still is such a fucking sick live track (along with the rest of the album)

I don't think he got nervous. I read he came halfway around the world to do the concert. I think he was tired or discombobulated. God bless him, he did it for free for a good cause.

"The third version of the song would become the version we know. They resumed recording a few weeks later, on 8 March 1970 at Trident Studios. Produced by Harrison, who along with Stills and Voormann contributed to the song as before. The song was then left until October 1970, at which point further overdubs were made. The song was finally released on 9 April 1971 in the UK, and a week later in the US. Reviews were strong, and audiences everywhere embraced it." --Ringo Starr Good ol' 1970.

Love me some Ringo. Each Beatle had at least 2 number 1 hit songs on Billboard as solo artists. Let's see the Bay City Rollers do that.
